Location! The heater above the mirror in the bathroom was amazing, the decorations upstairs are so cute and well done (I liked the yellow), and I appreciated the hair dryer in the room.
We asked for an early check in and were told it wasn’t possible bc of cleaning and the previous guests, but when we got there the apartment was SO cold it was obvious the radiators hadn’t been turned on for ages. For the first five hours I had to wear my coat inside.
The door to the balcony blows open and will not stay closed. We asked for help and they told us how to close it but it didn’t work, so we had a chair propped next to it so at least it wouldn’t fly open all the way for the entirety of our stay.
The window in the bedroom facing the street leaks.
There is soap and a sponge in the kitchen but no kitchen towels to dry the dishes or your hands afterwards. There are also no paper towels or napkins, which would have been nice.
There are no blankets anywhere in the apartment (and it was cold!).
The pillows on the beds were flat and sad. With cleaning fees and taxes, we were paying $500/night and the pillows felt like the cheapest possible.
The communication wasn’t strong. I had to reach out and ask about the WiFi password. They got back to us about the door but it never did get fixed. There were no check out instructions.
Finally, the shower goes from freezing cold to warm to scalding hot, so shower you have to stand in the corner and lather during the freezing cold or scalding hot portions, and then jump in and try to rinse as quickly as possible while the water is at a normal temperature. Eventually we figured it out, but there should be clear instructions on how to make it work properly.
