Dot's bey beach cabanas

We had a very good time in the cabanas! The location is about 100 meters from a beautiful beach with a vivid fishing community and a diving/snorkeling center! Our host assisted us to book the snorkeling trip to Pidgeon Island leaving from the center at the beach and we very much enjoyed it! The location is an authentique neighbourhood and there are lots of shops and restaurants in the area and on the beach! Our host was very helpfuk and assisted us to find a tuktuk to town to visit the Hindu tempels and a taxi to continue our journey! The rooms have air condition, fan, mosquito net and a practical bathroom! À plus is the nice terrasse to sit in front of the room in a nice little garden and view to the see! We had a good time there and stayed 3 nights, we very much enjoued the location, the faboulous beach and our very friendly and helpful host! We can highly recommend the cabanas, we are a family of 3 we have rentre 2 cabanas!

Wir genossen drei wunderbare Tage in unserer Cabana in Trincomalee. Das Zimmer bot uns alles, was wir brauchten, wir waren sehr zufrieden. Ich war ein grosser Fan unserer gemütlichen Veranda, von der man direkt aufs Meer schauen kann (Achtung: nicht jede Cabana hat Meersicht). Neben unserer Cabana hatte es einen Raum mit ein paar Tellern, einem Spülbecken und einem Kühlschrank, was einem ein Frühstück oder einen Snack auf der Veranda ermöglicht. Das habe ich sehr geschätzt. Am besten hat mir jedoch die Lage gefallen: Man ist in 2 Minuten an einem Fischerstrand, wo man wunderbar den Sonnenaufgang anschauen und den Fischern zusehen kann (um zu baden sind andere Strände wie Niaveli Beach besser geeignet). Entgegen den meisten anderen Hotels befinden sich diese Cabanas nicht im "Touristenviertel"(dieses ist in 2 min Tuktuk / 15 min zu Fuss erreichbar), sondern in einer normalen Wohngegend, was meiner Meinung nach zu einem authentischen Einblick in Land und Leute beiträgt. Die Nachbarn sind sehr freundlich, die Hunde auch.
