About this house rental

This property is professionally-managed by Private Homes Hawaii, LLC and is a licensed short-term vacation rental, Non-Conforming Use Permit Number 1990/NUC-1774 for the main house and 1990/NUC-1775 for the guest cottage. It is compliant with Hawaii State Legislation (HB2078) for vacation rental accommodations, License#TA-187-952-4352-01. TMK.

Kailuana Beachfront Estate - Fully-remodeled Kailua home sits on nearly an acre of prime Kailua beachfront.
The two homes sleep 8-12 guests in a "main" house and detached guest cottage. This enchanting Kailua Estate is located in the premier part of the bay where the sand is at its widest and the turquoise-blue waters are most inviting. An expansive ocean front lawn provides ample privacy and is ideal for relaxing and recreation where the worries of the world are left behind. Following recent renovations, the home contains just the right blend of modern comforts in its updated kitchen and baths, with elements of charm carefully preserved from a richly felt past.

The main home offers 3 bedrooms and 2 baths overlooking the large grass lawn with the beach and ocean beyond. Two sun-decks offer space for casual dining and/or informal gatherings overlooking the ocean. The two bedroom one bath guest cottage sits adjacent to the main house, with private entrance, living area and a modernized kitchen of its own.
Fully air-conditioned, with modernized amenities, both homes are comfortable year round and ideal for extended family stays.

Just amazing! The privacy, the amenities, the beach access, all of it. This property is the One. Do yourself a favor and rent it. The pictures look good but dont do it justice. The yard is huge and private. The cottage is beautiful and allows for a separate home for a family/teens/etc. the gift basket ipon arrival was so thoughtful.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: A few issues: The Wireless Internet was inaccessible for the first few days, which required several visits from the cable provider (Spectrum) as well as visits from the Property Mgmt Firm. Eventually the problem was identified - faulty Netgear routers - and the Spectrum Tech returning on Day 3 instead set up wireless through their native WiFi-capable modems - this solved the issue for good, but not after 3 days of hassle. Another issue were the dryers in both houses. Neither seemed to dry the towels on our first run of laundry, despite trying all different settings and temps. Technicians came onsite to resolve, and they found that some of the internal equipment was faulty or broken, requiring adjustment and replacement - they got 1 dryer working (but only with one available dryer setting) and the other was scheduled to be fixed the day we left. Finally, we had an issue with flies in the main house. Despite our best efforts to keep the doors and windows closed, many MANY flies would enter the kitchen. We believe they may have been drawn to a foul smell emanating from one corner of the kitchen (indicating a dead rodent may have been trapped in the walls), but we also noticed that the back door screens did not "seal" the house - rather, they left a 4 inch gap between the outer door and the screen door (plenty of room for flies to enter, which they did in droves). It's worth noting that at all times the Property Mgmt Firm maintained regular communications and immediate responses when we texted them with concerns. They did the best they could in helping us address concerns as they arose, and they also welcomed us to the beach house with a tasty bread pudding with white chocolate sauce. Overall very good handling of our concerns, but the house was somewhat less than what we expected.
