The property was gorgeous, very clean and comfortable. The views were amazing, Robin was a superb host and very helpful.

The location was amazing, however. You definitely need transport or taxis to get out and about

The outstanding things about Villa Lavenda Hill is undoubtedly the view. It is absolutely breathtaking and I never got bored of lying in the pool or having breakfast and looking out over the coast! The villa has a great socialising area next to the pool with its own flamingo themed bar, BBQ and huge seating area. Perfect for large family stays or social gatherings. There's a big, well-equipped kitchen and indoor dining and socialising space, with great big picture windows so you're always presented with that amazing view. The sleeping area is set up very well, particularly for mixed groups as each bedroom has a good amount of privacy, and their own bathrooms. We stayed as an extended family, and I have two young kids - we had a suite of two rooms with an adjoining room and big bathroom. It was really practical to have our own space! My brother and his fiancé had 'the honeymoon suite', which is set away at the top of the villa and has its own humongous room terrace, and again gave the option of privacy. There is a second staircase with two further big rooms, each with en suite and a gym with some equipment also on that side of the house. Our host, Robin, lives across the driveway and is super friendly and helpful. He set up a couple of excursions for us - make sure you ask him about the waterfall and the speedboat trip around the lake - a big hit with our group but mind out- the water at the waterfall is pretty chilly!

Honestly, it's hard to draw out any negatives about the property or our stay at Lavender hill, but I would note that it is on a hillside (as is most of Montenegro!), so expect some cliff edge roads as you drive around, and a few steep walks in the area.
