Excellent stay
Mark couldn't have done more to facilitate us in our stay, from little touches such as milk and eggs in the fridge to waking early in the morning when we had locked ourselves out to give us a spare key. One of the best hosts I've met, and a genuine, interesting person. The historic grounds were a privilege to walk, and the house itself was cosy, warm and perfectly set for our stay. Couldn't speak highly enough of this experience

Disappointed
Location was good, place was nice and warm
No lighting at all up a very dark winding driveway. The property was not as advertised. There is a half built second story added on. The glass roof of the porch was broken with sizable pieces of glass hanging. We had young children staying, so this was a concern . Because the glass was broken the entrance was wet, with no doormat inside the property. As the paths are muddy, this tracked inside. The mop to clean the floor was filthy black. None of the floors in any of the rooms were swept, hoovered etc. Uncomfortable to walk on floors without socks as they felt dirty. Similar with the worktops in kitchen. Generally not a good standard of cleanliness over all. Very disappointed.
