St Ives Holiday Cottage with Parking – Coastal Retreat

Location was perfect and a lovely little cottage with everything we needed

Parking space was a bit small but no problem we parked in the long stay car park instead

We stayed here many times before, it’s perfect for us, just looking a little bit tired and needs a coat of paint:) other than that perfect

We loved the location and house itself. Was so close to everything and found a beach 30 seconds away that was quiet and a lovely cafe for breakkie. The house was clean tidy and in good condition. It was very handy having beach mats to use and we enjoyed the en suite bathrooms. Will stay again next year but for longer.

It was a bit tricky to find with one was roads and garage was a bit tight but as long as you have a small car its good to have parking on site. We needed more time there and will have s week next time.

The location is great for exploring St Ives. Porthmeor beach didn't permit dogs through the day during our stay which is a shame, but nearby Porthgwidden and the harbour did. The showers were powerful with plenty of hot water and the decor was pleasant. Overall we had an enjoyable stay, largely thanks to the many great (dog friendly) shops, galleries and places to eat and drink around town.

The property is advertised as having parking. The parking space is a small area on a narrow street to the rear, serving apartments 7 (this property) and 5 (another apartment in Porthmeor Court). Whilst it may be possible to park a small car in the allocated space, it's almost impossible if there is already a car parked for #5, which there was when we arrived. We waited two hours to get a space in the car park up the road, and then couldn't use the car for the rest of the week for fear of losing the space. Previous reviews also complain about this but the description doesn't mention anything about the size of the space or difficult access. The listing could easily be updated to indicate SMALL parking space and even include a picture of the space. The master bedroom felt quite damp when we arrived and there is a small patch of black mould in one corner. The showers don't drain particularly well. There were out-of-date sachets of milk in the kitchen. Overall the apartment felt a bit tired compared to the pictures in the listing and in need of a refresh.
