Serendipity Cottage, St Ives

Beautifully furnished newly renovated house close to the harbour. Lots of good storage space in the kitchen and bedrooms. Good attention to help with problems e.g. blind not working, loo seat loose. good for relaxing in front of the TV.

Parking was impossible and we were very lucky to find a space in the Island Car Park; this meant we couldn't go out of town or we would lose the space. (We did use the allocated space for our second car; this is a long walk up a steep hill and not possible for elderly people). There are steep steps at the entrance difficult to negotiate if you are infirm. The outside space is not sunny, rather dirty and I personally did not use it - disappointing. The washing machine has a fault and the door doesn't always open. There is a red button at floor level to use in an emergency.

There is nothing not to like about this property. The location is incredible, just 50yds from the harbour. There is a parking space offsite for the property but we parked in the island car park at £17 for the week. The facilities are perfect, lovely well-equipped kitchen, lounge off with log burning stove. We arrived 1st December and were pleasantly surprised to find the property decorated for Christmas- a lovely touch! Bedrooms are super-comfy too! Outside space a bonus.
