The coast retreat - 14 wood farm

Wood Farm was an excellent location and the caravan was spacious and modern, with enough space for our family. It was easy to travel from the site and was peaceful throughout. The host was really good and immediately responded and helped us when needed. It was also great to have fishing on site, with lots of positive memories created by the ponds.

Parking near to the caravan would have helped a little, especially for older members visiting, but this did not hinder us.

The home was beautiful with lovely decking and a very comfortable lounge. There was a TV and en-suite in the bedroom and the kitchen was very well stocked with everything you might need. The shower was very good with great water pressure. The site was very peaceful and well kept.

Beds in the smaller rooms were not big enough for adults but my daughter is quite tall. Would be good if it was easy to move bedside table in the middle so they can be pushed together. The bushes outside the main bedroom window were overgrown and striving to get into the room and therefore stopped any proper breeze getting in during very hot weather and encouraged moths to visit which kept us awake. I would recommend more effective blinds on the front windows as during hot weather the place gets very hot indeed. Was a long walk up hill to the car every time we went out or left something behind.

The site was quiet and well laid out with lots of facilities. The accommodation was clean and comfortable, if a little cramped at times. The facilities on site were extensive although we didn't use a lot of them, it was nice to know they were available. The staff we encountered were nice and friendly, willing to help. We had a good stay and although it felt a little expensive for the type of accommodation, this was understandable when we took into account the facilities, the site location and time of year.

The information given was quite confusing. It took us a while to realise that the sauna was on the site and not with the accommodation. Times of opening of the little shop wasn't on the information so we didn't know, until we'd arrived that if had already closed for the day. Perhaps a look through the information on the booking site would help and adjustments made for clarity.

Good location on a good bus route - short trip into Lyme Regis and Charmouth. The property was spotless and had a well equipped kitchen. Beds made up for arrival and bath towels provided. We made use of the pool. We would certainly return and wish we could have stayed longer.

There was nothing not to like.
