Elegantis Monti Penthouse With Private Terrace and Colosseum View

The location was unbeatable. It was out of the crowds, but a close enough walk to be in it all when we wanted. Short walk to the Colosseum, which you could see right when you walk out the door. It had great restaurants, gelato, bakeries, and water nasones within a quick walking distance. The staff that welcomed us on our arrival was on time and they even accommodated an early check in (which they had said they would confirm on the day of to see if they could). The host was easy to get in touch with and quick to respond. They checked in with us throughout our stay. I reached out to the host about a small issue and they offered to send someone over right away - great customer service. The terrace was large and a great space to just hang out - plenty of seating. Thank goodness the apartment had air conditioning! It was nice to walk into a cool place at the end of a long walking day. Overall, I would recommend the space.

The tub/shower area was super small and it was hard to get washed up without a shower curtain either (especially with kids). Mattresses were very stiff, but that's subjective. The upstairs loft space was hot even with the A/C running in the main space, but they had a fan that helped ease some of the heat that was rising from the lower space.

Perfect location within view of the Colosseum. Welcoming staff. AC worked great. Terrace was nice for winding down in the evening.

Exterior door lock was broken, but since we were on a top floor, we were not concerned about safety. Just a minor inconvenience.

Location was fantastic - less than 10 minutes to Colosseum, restaurants at your doorstep etc and staff were available to help out with questions before arrival. We had a problem with the internet and they fixed it immediately. There was a small lift to get up to the 5th floor. The air-conditioning helped a lot with the heat. Plenty of towels provided, even coffee capsules and water on arrival.

The location is excellent. We walked all over Rome from this home base. This is a top floor apartment, reachable by elevator. The mini-split units worked well. The linens on our bed were crisp and smelled nice. Two hair dryers and toiletries were provided. The communication from the host was excellent. The rooftop patio was nice. There is a small washing machine in the kitchen and a drying rack on the patio. There are lots of nearby restaurants. The neighborhood felt safe and was quiet at night.
