Marmouset

Warm huis met familiale sfeer, heerlijke kok. Mooie tuin met zwembad, We hebben geen woorden genoeg, het vonden het fantastisch. Be oitdoor was zelf niet thuis, maar zijn zoon verwelkomde ons hartelijk Benoit had voor ons lekkere zelfgemaakte lasagne voorzien waardoor we toch heerlijk konden eten.

Benoît est aux petits soins pour tout. On peut parler de plein de choses (mmmh son vin !) et il cuisine divinement bien. Le petit déjeuner est copieux et varié. La piscine est chauffée ! Les nuits sont silencieuses.... bref super relaxant. Il est de bon conseil pour le resto. Les poules sont rigolotes.

Wonderful family home at the outskirts of Verviers. It is a homestay which was fantastic for us - Benoit is a great host, very accommodating and friendly. We felt right at home. The pool was fantastic in the hot weather. The house is very big and old and there was always a shady corner or cool room to be found, so the heat did not feel too oppressive. We really, really liked out stay here! Thank you, Benoit! The location was also great for out purposes: 10 - 15 minutes to the walks and sightseeing of Theux, Spa and 15 minutes to the climbing crag of Pepinster. N.B. This is an old and very charming house, so floorboards might creak - if you are looking for a sterile, prestine, run-of-the-mill holiday let, this might not be for you but we thought it so full of character!

There was only one thing but that is no-ones "fault": if you are staying in the smaller bedroom and like to sleep in in summer - bring a face mask. It faces East and you will be woken up by the sun at 6am. Since we are early risers, this was no issue for us.

Ongedwongen en gastvrij. Heerlijke tuin en zwembad. Host kan lekker koken, volgende keer gaan we daar wel van genieten! We hebben nu wel van het lekkere ontbijt en de jam genoten. Volgende keer kaas en wijn!

Door het open karakter en gemeenschappelijk gebruik van keuken, kan het wat rommelig overkomen. Een gasten koelkast kan daar bijvoorbeeld een oplossing bieden. De lijn tussen privé en gasten gebruik is dun, waardoor je niet altijd goed weet wat wel en niet kan. Maar wij zijn dat ook niet gewend.
