Orti Terrace Elegant Central Florence Stay

Fantastic, roomy apartment with a balcony, full kitchen and lots of space and just a few minutes from the train station and a short walk to all the monuments and museums.

The apartment is well located, about 5 minute by foot from the Firenze Santa Maria Novella train station and around 15 minutes from Santa Maria del Fiore Cathedral. It is clean and looks like it has been renovated recently. The apartment is calm. We spent a nice time in Firenze and this apartment.

Super friendly pre-travel communication from dear Francesca who was so considerate to copy info to my e-mail and Booking.com message when I informed her that my WhatsApp may or may not work. After entering the building for the first time you can collect keys yourself for both the building and the apartment. Pleasant surprise of a bottle of the famous local Chianti wine welcomes you. Bed is very comfortable, with air conditioning which really helps when having to close windows to prevent summer mosquitoes from outside. Spacious kitchen is equipped with EVERYTHING from microwave, hot water kettle, to crystal wine glasses and wine bottle stoppers. Laundry washer and dryer are super helpful! Bathroom is modern and shower is spacious with door that seals tightly. Location is PERFECT - 2 min walk to Firenze SMN train station, Rotonda Barbetti bus depot (first stop to many places including bus #13 to Piazzale Michelangelo, so you can always get seats), and many buses come here or train station so it's super convenient. Safe and quiet area, with convenient restaurants and a wine window (buchetta del vino) nearby. Recycling station is also nearby on the way to train station. None. A laundry hanging rack would be helpful but we brought our portable clothing line. Note: Apartment is on the European second floor (American third floor), with 46 shallow steps to climb (4 flights of stairs).

Die Unterkunft liegt nur fünf Minuten vom Bahnhof Santa Maria Novella entfernt und in zehn Minuten ist man am Arno.

Vom sehr schmalen Balkon sieht man in ein Jugendgefängnis. Es gibt keine Möglichkeit, draußen zu sitzen. Leider fiel fast jeden Tag das Wasser aus (Wasserdruck wohl nicht ausreichend). Blöd, wenn man am Abend eine Dusche nehmen oder etwas kochen möchte. Nach 30 Minuten stand dann zum Glück wieder Wasser zur Verfügung.
