We particularly loved the central location, the history and character of the building, and the beautiful design of the apartment. Having a washing machine available was also a great convenience. The host was helpful and replying to our calls/texts quickly.

The main issue for us was the temperature inside the flat. It was extremely hot during our stay, reaching around 35°C in the flat. One of the bedrooms had a good, quiet fan that made the heat manageable, but the fan in the other bedroom was very weak and noisy, so unfortunately we couldn’t sleep comfortably in that room. The high-positioned windows also made it difficult to properly ventilate the apartment. The almost 100 steps to reach the apartment were quite challenging, particularly with luggage, so this is something future guests should be aware of. We also felt slightly uncomfortable with the empty feel of the building, particularly regarding safety in case of an emergency. We did not notice a clearly marked fire exit on the roof, which added to this concern. Finally, the €500 deposit and being asked to check the apartment carefully for any existing damage upon arrival made the check-in experience feel a little stressful. We understand the reason for this, but a more relaxed and reassuring process would have made us feel more comfortable. Overall, we appreciated the apartment’s location, character and design, but the heat and some of the practical aspects affected our comfort during the stay.

The apartment is in a nice building and a great location. Communication with the hosts was clear and professional. It's a really well equipped place with all sorts of thoughtful touches like salt and pepper in the kitchen and basic toiletries. Everything is clean and fresh looking.

I like a place with a view to the outside and, although the apartment has Velux windows I struggled with the lack of view. The fans were appreciated but when we first arrived we regretted not reserving a place with air conditioning. It's hot in the eves!
