Hostel 8

Contrary to our plans we decided to stay in Prishtinë for one night and made the decision to give the Hostel8 a chance serving as our accomodation. We had a very warm welcome by our hosts which offered us a gratis cup of coffee because our room wasn't ready yet. The room itself was quite inviting with an comfortable bed and a clean bathroom. To put it simply: a good address / starting point for discovering the capital of the amazing Kosovo.

I liked that each bed was like its own compartment, with opaque curtains. There were multiple bathrooms and a comfortable socialization area in the lobby. I never got to say goodbye to the kind staff I saw at the beginning of my stay, but as I lately have been saying to my friends to whom I do say goodbye, even if we do not meet again in this lifetime, at least we may soon meet once Jesus returns to carry to Heaven all those who seek the truth and doing right in their hearts.

There could have been bidets in the bathrooms since there is often no toilet paper there. People are often a bit loud outside the room late at night, and the room may go all night without the overhead light being turned off and with the door still fully open.

The facilities it's big and have a lot of space for the people even the dorm for 8 people is really big enough and plenty of space to keep the luggage and other stuff. There is a supermarket just across the street, and so many restaurants nearby so plenty of options to eat and try. Taxis are super cheap and even buses are super cheap.

The distance from the city centre, is about 15 min, and it can be challenging when you're tired and some parts are uphill so not for everyone. The shower is broken. One of the guy at the reception was really helpful and very good, sometimes difficult to make him understand English. Towels are available 1.5 euro. There is no exhaust fan in the kitchen so all the smell of the food, spread in the common room and in the room itself.

Service was great, they were able to speak good English, the entire host family was open minded and helpful. They offer laundry services too They reorganizing the entire hostel for summer season too, they care about the guests and want them to feel comfortable. Great experience

Towels only for rent so bring your own if you are low budget. Showers and bathrooms are not separate Wifi has been bad during my stay but I was outside mostly anyway.
