We thoroughly enjoyed out time at Cnocanreoch, and managed to fit a lot of adventures into a few days.
The cabin is situated beside the farm buildings at Cnocanreoch Farm, but is angled to face away from them, looking towards the sea and the excellent views of the Kintyre Peninsula, Davaar Island, Spoon Island (the local name for Sanda Island and Sheep Island, which collectively look like a large spoon lying face down in the sea when viewed from Arran), and County Antrim in Northern Ireland. It is a short walk - a couple of hundred metres - down to the beautiful beach, from where Ailsa Craig can also be seen
The cabin is compact, but incredibly well set out. The kitchen has a cooker (with hob and oven), a microwave and a fridge (with a freezer compartment), Plenty of utensils, pots and pans, scissors, a grater etc are provided. The bathroom has a shower, toilet and sink. The living area has a TV, WiFi and a sofa, which folds down to allow a double bed to drop down from the rear wall. A fold down table lives underneath the sofa when not in use. There is plenty of storage space.
Outside, there is a large veranda, with a table and chairs, where we enjoyed sitting in the sunshine watching the farm animals - sheep, chickens and a couple of personable ponies named Poppet and Mr Fudge. There is also (and this is a first for us) a pizza oven. The ingredients to make a couple of cheese and tomato pizzas may be purchased from the owners.
A welcome hamper was provided, including milk, eggs, butter, sausages and bacon.
Farmer and host Ian is a lovely guy and a tremendous source of local knowledge. We didn't see much of Nix, his wife, during our stay - she is obviously a very busy lady, but the cabin is her venture, and she is to be congratulated for fitting so many home comforts into such a small space.
If I had one observation, it is that the cabin slopes slightly towards the kitchen / bathroom end. It's not noticeable during general use, but it can take a few minutes to adjust when getting out of bed, particularly when visiting the bathroom during the night.

It’s set in the most beautiful setting, overlooking the coast line. The pod was really comfortable and had everything we needed. The hamper was a lovely touch - Nix is great!
The wifi was very slow so we hot spotted most of the time - especially on the rainy day!
