River Street Retreat

The property was as described, but had lots of lovely touches, such as welcome pack, well stocked bathroom and generous tea and coffee stocks. It was genuinely dog friendly and welcoming.

Nothing. Some might find the parking a bit hairy as it’s on a steep slope, but there’s a nearby flat car park for the faint hearted!

On arrival at the property we were delighted to find it extremly clean and tidy, there was a welcome bag with wine crisps and chocolates in which was a lovely suprise, there was also magazines and lots of extras such as hairspray, sanitary towels etc in the bathroom and coffee pods in the kitchen which we found very thoughtful. We arrived in the middle of the heatwave and not only had the host left us numerous fans but also the appropriate plugs to enable us to position the fans where we wanted. The property is a short walk to Haworth high street through the park and has a local shop, pub and an excellent curry house (Haworth Tandoori) a stones throw away. The train station is a 2 minute walk away where you can board one of the steam trains. There is a lovely cafe just over the railway bridge where we had breakfast both mornings. There were plenty of towels provided and the street was nice and quiet even though its close to all the amenities. The TV was easy to use and had freeview and Netflix. We will definitely be back next time we visit Haworth.

The free parking on the street is extremely steep, I had no problem parking but my friend was a little nervy parking on it. There is however a car park 2 minutes walk away if you dont like parking on hills.

River street retreat was amazing, great space and location and the owner had thought of all the little details that make the stay perfect.
