The Nook

The cabin was well presented, clean and comfy. The countryside views were beautiful. The night sky was amazing, no light pollution so the stars shone perfectly.

The downside was it wasn't as close to amenities as it advertised.

Great property if you are looking for a base to explore the area. Lovely walks and only a few minutes drive from St Ives. Very remote so you would need a car. Everything you need for a few days stay, I stayed when the weather turned and the heating was excellent. Lovely hot, powerful shower. So peaceful here, you could hear a pin drop overnight. Great place if you are taking a dog. Owners were very responsive to messages and nothing a problem. If you want to relax, read a book and go for nice walks this is the place for you.

Just a mirror near a plug would make things perfect.

I had a lovely stay here. The Nook was cosy and well-appointed — it had everything I needed, and it was very quiet and peaceful. The bed was comfy, and the shower was hot and strong. It’s a simple place, but clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully set up. The location is rural, so you’ll need a car (free parking on site), but it’s close to St Ives, which was perfect for me. The host was lovely and responsive throughout. Great base for exploring the area.

Easy to book. Accurate directions. Comfortable bed. Quiet location. Faintly shirt drive to St Ives.

Shower water was tepid for the duration of our stay. Heating rails were set too low to even partially dry anything and as it was raining this was an inconvenience. Strip lights too bright and stark. Considering the great distance from any shop it would have been a welcome feature to have been left a pat of butter and a little more milk.
