Contact with the hosts was good. On arrival we were able to park right in front of the apartment, and at other times a short 3 minute walk away in the free car park. Due to an early flight we arrived before check in time and were allowed to drop our bags inside whilst the apartment was being made ready, which was helpful. The sun terrace was perfect for relaxing and eating, with views of the hills. A welcome bottle of wine and some breakfast ingredients was a nice touch. The bed, kitchenette and bathroom facilities were all good. The Centro train station is only a 5 minute walk away for easy access to Lucca, Pisa and Florence etc. The area was quiet and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this nice apartment.

As we were staying 8 days the provision of an iron and ironing board would have been helpful.

Bellissimo appartamento al terzo piano (no ascensore), molto spazioso e con un terrazzo veramente grandissimo, metà coperto e con divani, da vivere la sera. Cucina con tutto il necessario, gradito omaggio all'arrivo. Camera con armadio spazioso. Parcheggio gratuito a due passi.

Letto un po' corti purtroppo, ma soggettivo Ingresso del palazzo (mal tenuto) non rispecchia per nulla l'appartamento, invece molto bello.

Casa stupenda con tutti i confort! Il terrazzo è meraviglioso, anche con la pioggia! L'appartamento è pulitissimo e comodo ai servizi! Straconsigliato!

The apartment itself was lovely - ish. Kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and outside space were lovely. The lounge I would say isn't usable. You can't relax and watch tv for example as the sofas are really uncomfortable and the layout is very odd. The train station is very close to your apartment.

We absolutely hated the area. It's not our first time in Italy or Montecatini. This isn't in Montecatini Terme, it's in Centro which is a completely different area. Quite rough, nothing really there and more residential rather than somewhere you'd choose to spend your holiday. The check in information is misleading being called Montecatini Terme, we got off at that train station and it was a good 20 minute walk - with cases in high humidity and heat. It was a few minute walk from Montecatini Centro. Wish it said that on the in depth apartment information. The check in was confusing as the videos are sped up and they cover up the last number of the key safe box so we had to do a bit of guessing. The apartment has 7 flights of stairs which isn't an issue if you're fit but it's a pain if you're mobility compromised. The worst part for us was the electricity kept tripping. In fairness we were warned that if for example you had the washing machine on and then used the cooker it might trip but it tripped whenever you used the cooker and nothing else. We ended up having to turn off the aircon in all rooms, the lights, the tv's and only used the oven and it still tripped. The reset box is outside so 7 flights of stairs down and back up was exhausting when you've got arthritis and the heat was high. In one attempt to cook a meal we had to reset the electricity 4 times. We went out for a drink one night and didn't feel safe. If we're honest all we saw were drunks and drug addicts walking around. Stopping us for money or cigarettes. We got scammed in a bar by a local woman who 'befriended us' and then added her drink to our bill which the bar owner covered up. Two days into the vacation we ended up contacting booking.com and cancelling our booking. We rebooked somewhere in Lucca and had an amazing time.
