About this cottage rental
Downstairs offers an open plan living room / kitchen / diner with an inglenook fireplace and bathroom. The new kitchen is well equipped & there is underfloor heating. Upstairs are two adjoining bedrooms.
Walk straight into the sitting room with underfloor heating, comfy sofa and armchairs, Roberts radio and roaring wood-burner. On rainy days you’ll find board games and books, some poetry. A new Shaker kitchen has all the gear for determined cooks and a round wooden dining table. On arrival you’ll find a bottle of wine, good tea and Grind’s compostable coffee pods.
Next to the fireplace are winding stairs with a rope handrail which lead you upstairs to a twin room, then on into an adjoining master bedroom, both with White Company linen, vintage art and antiques, and high vaulted ceilings. There’s a smart TV opposite the kingsize bed. The bathroom is downstairs, with a large walk-in shower, eco-friendly Faith In Nature and Soap Folk goodies, and fluffy towels.
In Spring and Summer you’ll be out in the privacy of the well-tended landscaped gardens, admiring the wisteria and topiary and looking out for fish in the pond. There are sun loungers and spaces for outdoor dining.
Fill your days with open garden events, wild lake swimming, horse riding, walks in ancient woodlands, cream teas, National Trusting, foodie discovering, country estates, beauty treatments, Cheltenham shopping or antique hunting. Then return to the delicious seclusion of our gardens for sundowners, and if you don’t want to cook, wander five minutes through the village for supper at the pub or the impressive restaurant at Thyme England. If you want to build up more of an appetite, walk down to the river and on along it’s banks into the neighbouring village of Eastleach, where there is always a warm welcome at the Victoria Inn.
