Escape to Dovecote Cottage, a beautifully restored luxury retreat in the picturesque Cotswold village of Southrop. One of five exclusive cottages at Grey’s Court, it blends historic character, elegant country style and modern comfort, creating the perfect setting for families and groups of up to six guests.
The spacious living room offers comfortable seating, Sky TV and a cosy wood-burning stove, making it an inviting place to relax after exploring the Cotswolds. The traditional country kitchen features an Aga alongside modern appliances and is fully equipped for everything from leisurely breakfasts to family dinners.
Dovecote Cottage sleeps six guests across three beautifully presented bedrooms. The impressive master suite features a handcrafted four-poster bed and a luxurious en-suite bathroom with a traditional roll-top bath. The two further bedrooms include one king-size room and one twin room, with an additional family bathroom.
Outside, guests can enjoy a private terrace with outdoor seating, ideal for morning coffee, alfresco meals or a glass of wine in the evening. Private parking and family-friendly amenities are also provided.
Grey’s Court is perfectly positioned for experiencing the best of the Cotswolds. The renowned Thyme Estate, its luxury spa and cookery school, and The Swan pub are all within easy walking distance. Scenic village lanes and countryside footpaths can also be explored directly from Southrop.

There is a lot of broken furniture in and around the cottage (garden table, kitchen cabinet, chair in kitchen, sofa cushion needs to be sewed).
The water coming out of the shower heads was so strong that it hurt our skin.
The temperature setting in one of the rooms was on 23 and 32 degrees, it got very hot in there and we had to spend quite some time figuring out how to set the system.
However it was nice to spend time in the cottages and we appreciated the welcome food.
