Lime Kiln Quay Cottage

Accommodation had everything we needed and the bread and biscuits were a welcome surprise on arrival, Ash was very responsive with messages, the enclosed garden was great for our dogs and had lovely walks either along the river just outside the door or in Rendlesham Forest 15min drive away which was nice and shady in the summer heat

Stairs were very steep and narrow and easy to have accidental slips

Location of walking to paths along the river. very good for evening stroll or longer dog walks if needed. Listening to the estuary birds and watching the boats on the river Deben very calming. Cottage is close to local shops if needed by walking or driving. Easy access to local train station if required. Nice to have a garden to sit in. Cottage very clean and tidy. Communication with property owner very good.

The location was great, both for the Quayside and town. The cottage was very pretty; directions to it were good, and we were also able to park easily in the suggested area. Great shower, a lovely kitchen fully equipped and a comfortable sitting/dining room. The main bedroom is a lovely size with plenty of storage a comfy bed, and a TV ! A fan was also provided and much needed this summer. All in all, a really lovely place to stay.

The instructions stated the parking was on a first come first served basis, which I was concerned about (as it turned out it wasn't a problem). Suggesting an alternative place to park on the instructions would be nice, just in case the suggested one is full.

Clean , tidy, good cooking utensils, lovely to see washing up liquid and some basics such as salt pepper .
