Will never return, don’t suggest you book

The bed was comfortable…once we had put on clean bedding that we thankfully had with us

The fact that it is a shared property and there is no mention of that when booking The bins hadn’t been emptied There was no bulbs in most of the lights The bathroom had no hot water Bathroom light switch cut off and didn’t work No hand wash anywhere Broken furniture Heating was off and was advised to wait until 8pm when it would come on (February and 3°c outside) Not enough cutlery or crockery for one room let alone the 6 that are there Random men knocking on doors with no keys to their ‘room’ Unfinished decorating Uneven surfaces outside and not well lit No clear signage to find the property Boiler covers falling off Doors unsecured (living room patio door didnt lock) Will be reporting all of this directly to Booking.com as it should have to meet some kind of standards. Not fit for purpose at all and falsely advertised

I’m afraid there is nothing I can really commend the place for!

In a word - appalling Quite frankly you need to reassess your offering and improve everything. There is a total lack of any homeliness Bare bulbs in the ceiling A patio door that doesn’t lock - a major security risk Terrible bathroom - looks like a child did some grouting, not clean and fixings coming off the wall or rusty Missing fuses to plugs in the kitchen No tea towel Lacking in cutlery - not enough of everything Why no mattress or pillow protectors? Poor quality bedding linen and duvet - the bed sheet doesn’t even fit properly as it wasn’t a deep enough type for the mattress Why do jacuzzis when the inside is a mess? My recommendation is that you just spend the money on a proper job - new kitchen, redecoration and also decent matching furniture - with tasteful pictures etc. Employ someone who knows what they are doing and then you will have a place that will both earn you more money long term and be a place where people want to stay. If I hadn’t been on my own and have a high tolerance, I would have walked out and not stayed. The potential is there but you need to do a proper job and not penny pinch and think that you can have a place that is only fit for drunken groups who will just trash the place. Only one bathroom is a major issue too - the house is big enough to have more.

NEC Visit

We were surprised at how big the place was it was huge.The heating worked well, the bath water was hot, the bed was comfortable, and the TV had a good choice of Netflix, YouTube, etc. Location not far from Birmingham NEC we walked, and it takes maybe 30 minutes. We were allowed to check in 1 hour earlier as we arrived whilst the cleaner was preparing the house. We felt the arrangement of waiting for a telephone call to let us know where the keys were going to be kept for pick up very unusual & we weren't comfortable with that arrangement hence why we arrived early. We used the cooker and fridge & the cutlery and plates, etc, were ample enough.The lighting was okay, apart from the lamp situation.The rating for the house was really low, but we feel this house could be fantastic so we felt it deserved a 7 rating.

Sadly, there is no fuse in the microwave or the toaster, so they didn't work. There's only 1 lamp in the whole house, a tall floor lamp but sadly it had no bulb in it ( we like to read in bed ) The area is directly under the flight path for Birmingham International Airport, but they did stop in the evening time and through the early hour's until about 07.00 am. Front door us on a saloon like arrangement, so you needed 2 keys, and the key chain just kept losing the keys as it's a cheap loop thing.The garden was in need of some TLC with lots of unfinished work outside.

This property is completely falsely advertised on booking.com. This is not a one bedroom house. It’s is a multiple bedro
