Quaint Cosy Cottage Mousehole

Beautiful decor, light and airy, fantastic location, ease of access on arrival. We had everything we needed to cook with. Amazing place!

The only small negatives were extremely hot water so I wonder if the thermostat could be turned down a bit and the size of the beds. I understand the size of beds is dictated by the size of the rooms but maybe a slightly bigger bed and only one bedside table would make sleeping more comfortable…the sofa bed also slopes a little on the outside edge. However, these are small issues when it’s truly a privilege to stay in such a beautiful cottage in such a fantastic location 😊 Also a booklet with recommendations for local areas of interest and places to eat would be helpful 😊

Mousehole is een van de mooiste vissersdorpjes in Cornwall. Het heeft nog echt een middeleeuws stratenplan en een schilderachtige haven. De cottage ligt middenin het dorp en is heel oud en klein zoals alle vissershuisjes. Het huisje is recent helemaal opgeknapt en dat zie. Het is fris en voelt nog helemaal nieuw. Vanuit de woonkamer op de 2e verdieping kijk je uit over zee.

De cottage is klein en er is geprobeerd het maximale eruit te halen. De indeling is omgedraaid wat betekend dat je binnenkomt op de 1e verdieping, woont op de 2e en de keuken op -1 is. Dat geeft wat ongemak maar daar staat tegenover dat je in het centrum van een schilderachtig vissersdorpje woont. Op de 1e verdieping is een kleine slaapkamer met een smal 2- persoonsbed. De slaapbank in de woonkamer is iets breder maar minder comfortabel.

Location was perfect! Property clean and well equipped. Could happily have stayed longer.

Only one tiny niggle - the bed in the bedroom was a small double which was a little bit snug!
