Abbey Cottage, Close to Mousehole Harbour

Abbey cottage is charming and located steps from the harbour in Mousehole. It is small but has everything you need Gail is very helpful and friendly

Parking is challenging as it is in all seaside towns in Cornwall The parking lot is 100 yards from the cottage and often full when we wanted to park. There is another one 200 yards away that often has parking. The costs are 10 and 12 pounds for 24 hours Make sure you have coins as the card reader isn’t reliable

The property is self contained with all that you need to eat in, do your laundry or just relax. It was very close to the harbour and shops and restaurants and centrally located to explore Cornwall. Great place.

Abbey cottage was perfect in every way, location, decor and Gail our hostess. It was right beside the harbour, restaurant, shops, walks. We were going to the Minack theatre and Gail organised a picnic for us and put us in contact with William the taxi driver who picked us up and collected us, like VIPs. 🤩Felt right at home!

The location is very nice, in a quiet alley but very close to the harbour and restaurants.

It is very difficult to find parking. There is some parking at the harbour a few minutes walk away but it is narrow and most often full. The cottage itself is very small and the heights of the doors are low so one needs to stoop to get through. Also, the bathroom is a bit grimy, for instance there is mildew around the shower door and on the ceiling. Lastly, although I never met the owner in person, in the communication I had with her by email before my stay she was a bit rude and gave the impression that she was only interested in the money.
