The service was so poor leading up to the stay. I had to contact booking.com directly as by our check in time hadn’t heard anything about getting into the property, this ruined the start of our trip as by the time we managed to get in it was an hour late meaning we were then rushed with things we had planned. We had to pay for parking as again no contact leading up to. Disappointing and wouldn’t recommend

I was unable to make contact with the host despite calling and messaging constantly throughout the 24 hour period before the stay. I did not receive any email from the host detailing the rental agreement or deposit request and therefore did not receive any check in or car parking details. As a result, I was unable to park my car or access the property.
The whole experience was very stressful - I was concerned that it was a fraud. I tried calling Booking.com to cancel who kept me in a queue for 45 mins before I hung up (despite being told that I was in a queue of 1 from the start).

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!
Firstly, I emailed the host to provide the vehicle registration for the free parking, this wasn't updated on to the system and subsequently had to pay for parking on night 1. Planned on staying for a full week however upon arrival at the location got stuck in the lift for over 20 minutes. I reached out to the host to explain about the parking issue and was met with hostility and no accountability whatsoever from them. They refused to reimburse the costs and had to seek alternative accommodation for the rest of the week due to the noise from neighbouring rooms. I wish I had read the reviews on this place prior to placing a booking

The location was good thats it
Awkward to book ( didn't mention on booking.com having to pay an extra £100 ) plus a load of registration asking for all my personal details including driving licence, arrived , lift out of order, stairway smelt very musty / damp. Entered room , had not been cleaned , piles of washing dumped on bed and sofa , called the number , they just said ill get you another room and put phone down , waited 15 mins for an email to arrive . Gave me the code for another room , this was a basic room whereby the one I paid for was a superior room .
No toilet roll , shower leaked all over when turned on , windows did not seal in the frames and the heating was off so room was freezing on this night -3 outside . No milk or coffee or anything of any use. Not happy , have pictures . Await a response and my extra £100 back plus an explanation / refund .

very difficult communication. Couldn't find the way to get in and stayed outside with my luggage for 3 hours. Cannot imagine this is how they serve people. Difficult to find the place. i don't get the purpose of taking two charges of 200 pounds other than needing money. One for deposit and one for pre-authorisation. But I had to call them and write up the refund application myself for the refund, which should have been processed by them!

Apartment nice enough, (except the missing blind on window) but overall stay ruined by poor communication by hosts.
Communication with hosts very poor. Tried calling, emailing, messaging via whats app several times throughout on the day of my stay as trying to get info on how to check in. Eventually got a response after my check in time that i stated. They had not put my car registration on the system, (even though I emailed and whats app messaged them it the day before), so when first pulled up in carpark had to get ticket so had to pay for first couple of hours. Eventually got through to them and got them to put reg on system so had to go back to carpark and drive car out and back in again. One window in apartment has a blind missing so no privacy and difficult to sleep with all the street lighting outside.

The host was super rude and took forever to respond to us he kept on insisting that,we needed to pay for the disposite not caring about the Customer Experience at all . Although it eas our first time to book and needed to pay for the deposite we did not know how to do it and he kept on insisting that we needed to pay we needed to pay so tell us how to do it than very horrible we ended up booking in another place as this is not the standard we are expecting treatment to be honestly horrible experience

It’s a nice room, in a convenient location for Central Leeds
The communication from the Host was woeful.
There were 2 deposit charges requested in the initial message after booking. One was a pre-auth and was cancelled after I left. The second was a £100 charge that I’m still awaiting the return of.
The supposedly inclusive parking needed payment to release my car (£66).
The drains in the communal areas stink. Although the room is fine

I had a very disappointing stay at Athena Suites Leeds. Despite a late check-in, my suite was not cleaned, which was unacceptable. The customer service was rude and unhelpful throughout my stay. To make matters worse, they canceled my reservation just two days after check-in and demanded double payment. When I questioned this, they threatened to involve the police. I do not recommend staying here due to the poor service and unfair treatment

Didn’t give me the access code until an hour after the check in time so I was stood outside the front door waiting as they didn’t reply to WhatsApp’s or phone calls but happy enough to take the security deposit in etc. All of the towels apart from one were soaking wet in the washing machine so couldn’t even have a shower without sharing a towel! The apartments had an awful smell to them and the room was missing blinds to block the light out. Overall bad stay, wouldn’t recommend.

City center location
I booked this property for a business trip as it was advertised with free secure parking. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing from start to finish.
Despite providing my car registration as requested, I was charged £33 for parking when leaving, as my car had not been properly registered by the host. When I tried to resolve the issue, the host’s responses were rude, dismissive, and unhelpful, repeatedly trying to blame me even though I had followed all their instructions and provided proof of when I entered the car park.
I was also charged twice for the stay — once through Booking.com and again directly by the host — and had to chase for weeks to get the refund. On top of that, the host refused to provide a proper VAT invoice, which meant I couldn’t reclaim the cost of the stay through my employer.
Overall, the communication and professionalism from the host were completely unacceptable, and the experience has caused unnecessary hassle for what should have been a straightforward overnight stay.
I would strongly advise Booking.com to review this property’s listing, as my experience (and similar reviews from others) suggest it does not meet the standards expected from properties advertised on this platform.

I would strongly advise avoiding this property. The photos shown in the listing are a very far cry from what you are actually presented with when you arrive.
From the moment I entered the building, there was a strong smell of marijuana throughout, and groups of youths were constantly coming and going, creating a lot of noise and an unsafe atmosphere.
The first apartment I was given had no working electricity, so I had to be moved. Unfortunately, the second apartment wasn’t much better — the noise from either another apartment or the bar next door made it impossible to get any rest.
On top of that, the bedroom had a large TV box left in the way, making the room feel cluttered and poorly maintained.
Overall, the property felt nothing like the photos advertised — it was noisy, unclean, and unfit for a comfortable stay. I ended up leaving as it simply wasn’t possible to stay there overnight.

Very poor communication by host. Basic room did not resemble the online photos on Booking.com. Missing items - dishwasher, cleaning products, toiletries, welcome pack (as advertised), tea towel, oven gloves, hand towels/swan crafted towels, user instructions, 2nd dining table chair, coffee pods, batteries for tv remote, fan, fire equipment, fire evacuation procedures, windows that were advertised as bigger and we could not reach the ones we had to close as open when we arrived during Storm Amy. Very bad smell in lobby, and just outside our room door. Paper thin walls. Being charged a premium rate for a sub standard room. Only getting check in details just before we arrived at the property despite trying for hours beforehand to get hold of the host by phone, email and Booking.com app. Caused us considerable anxiety. Washing machine was full when we arrived. Lift only went up to floor 2 but our room was on the next floor up so had to drag heavy luggage up 2 half flights of stairs plus more stairs to go up in room as it had a mezzanine floor. Only a couple of inches between one side of the bed and the bannister so had to shuffle sideways to get into bed. Beside cabinets not by bed as there is no room. Large silver pipes with foil on ends along the bedroom floor and shower room ceiling. Hot water that fed into the toilet cistern so steam came out of the toilet bowl when flushed! As there was only one chair for the tiny table, we had to take it in turns to eat. Reed diffuser in shower room was bone dry. Only 10ft of space between the uncomfortable sofa and the tv in the "living" area and unable to watch tv as no batteries in the control which was hidden in a drawer. After nearly 40 phones calls plus emails and messages on Booking.com we are still being ignored by the host. This experience completely ruined our mini break and we went home a day early as we couldn't bear another night is such an awful place.

I didn't realize a deposit had to be made but the host called and guided me through it very calmly and informally. He was very nice and down to earth about the fact id missed an earlier email. He guided me through the process. The apartment was very well equipped and well decorated. There is not much of a view but the location is excellent!
Incorrect access instructions after exiting the lift on level two. The apartment was on this level and there no need to carry my heavy suitcase up the stairs that were suggested. The apartment was on the same floor as the lift. (level 2)

They say parking free and yiu need to pay, the pictures on booking are fake, I book a suit 55 m2 and was around less of half, also not towel for get a shower.
When you call the phone number that they provide nobody answer.
Finally I booked an other hotel.

Location is great and parking included was a big bonus. Room was clean and serviceable.
The communal area had a very strong and unpleasant damp smell, which was not a good first impression. It was also quite noisy at night due to roadworks, although we did expect some level of noise given the city centre location. The room itself was nice, but unfortunately the coffee maker wasn’t working and appeared not to have been cleaned in some time. In addition, the fridge had been switched off, so it wasn’t cold on arrival.
