Great location, nice bright comfortable room with big windows that easily open for fresh air and sunlight but close tight with great soundproofing. Lots of unexpected amenities. Fridge, wineglasses, corkscrew and complimentary bottle of prosecco. comfortable beds, nice sheets and lots of towels. Easy directions and self check in instructions. The host quickly responded for a request for a second set of keys. The hosts are super friendly, kind and helpful and chatting with them was a highlight of my stay. Bathroom was newly renovated.

We got room 2 - access is via the stairway to Corniglia but the windows look out over Vernazza's main thoroughfare and it's very handy to the train station. Absolutely fabulous location. Room was very comfortable - the self-check-in worked fine and one of the very friendly staff from the co-owned Albergo Barbara came to welcome us (apologising by WhatsApp that he had not been able to be on site when we arrived). On request he brought kettle, coffee and teabags which was thoughtful and later in our stay we received extra. Staying in Vernazza is far better than visiting the place as during the day the village is unpleasantly swamped with tourists and cruise-ship passengers on day trips whereas in the evening it's cute (if still essentially 95% a tourist trap rather than a local village). If you do want to stay in Vernazza, this place is hard to beat in its price range for the location, facilities and friendly welcome.
