The villa was exceptional! We travel frequently and this was one of our favorite homes. The owner thought of everything and has great taste in décor. The location was easy for us to get to everything on the island. The beds were very comfortable and the mini split air conditioners were great to have as it was hotter than expected. We did opt to have the pool heated and it was a comfortable temperature to swim in after a long day out. Sidonia the villa manager was communicating from before we even left the states all the way up to the day we left. Touching base and very responsive. Calheta is a great home base to explore Madeira. There is a beach and several restaurants nearby as well as a market and a snack bar at the top of the hill from the villa. We really enjoyed our first trip to Madeira and our stay at Villa Arco-Iris. We hope to return soon.
