Beautifully restored Madeiran house with a lovely private pool and terrace. Best self service accommodation we ever stayed in. So well stocked with everything you need - towels, kitchen equipment, crockery. Usually self service accommodation is minimalist but this was set out to ensure comfort and convenience
This accommodation is perfect and lacks nothing. We didn't rent a car and I think this is advisable if you want to get to the supermarket or restaurants in the evening

Super beautiful, clean and good equipped house (super handy electric grill, BBQ, Pizza oven, gas cooking equipment). Perfect location when you don't want to be in the touristy hotspots, it's a very local town with friendly people.
Nice infinity pool. Lots of room in the house. Don't worry about the street next to the house, cars never drive here (only the few people that live in this small street).
The distance to some hikes is longer than from e.g. Funchal. Wall outlet outside wasn't working. Swimming pool isn't heated, so the temperature was a bit low. Instructions on how to use the pizza oven would be nice. No vacuum cleaner to do some basic cleaning. No basic spices (had to buy salt and pepper, but left it in the kitchen). Indoor lightning isn't really giving the most pleasant warmth.
