Guisachan Guesthouse

We really liked our stay at Guisachan Guesthouse, Phill & Carmen were absolutely lovely and even gifted our daughters with a little plush toy each upon arrival which was very unexpected and very appreciated. The breakfast in the morning was lovingly made and delicious!

The owners responded very fast when the sink was slow to drain. The staff was friendly and great at answering questions. Town was close to walk to for dinner. It was full breakfast buffet

I entered in fully wet, dirty and for sure smelly clothes from a seven day hike in the highlands and received an extremely warm and heartfelt welcome. I was asked for any dietary needs or allergies and when I said I’m vegetarian, they fried some vegan sausages for me for breakfast! So much more than I would have expected! They made me feel as if I visit friends. I could dry my equipment in a drying too , perfect for a soaking wet tent from the night before. The room itself was pre heated and spotless clean. When I was too tired in the evening to leave the house to go get food, they went and got it for me, knowing that I didn’t even have any cash. I am still shy that I could only thank them with words and not an extra tip. The breakfast room has a stunning view over the loch and the breakfast itself was absolutely perfect for me. They had every option you could wish for, up until hot and fluffy pancakes. I felt so comfortable at the guesthouse and was actually sad that I didn’t have the time to stay longer with them. I don’t think it will be my last time in Scotland and if I ever need a stay in the area of Fort William, I will definitely come back.
