The property is very new and tastefully decorated, with a lovely atmosphere. Its location in the heart of the Medina is excellent, with many places within easy walking distance. Fatima, our host, was a real highlight of our stay. She has a wonderful personality and was incredibly friendly, welcoming and helpful. She gave us advice on how to get to different places and was always happy to help. Her warmth and hospitality really made a difference to our experience. The bed was large and comfortable, and the air conditioning worked very well, which was particularly welcome in the Tunisian heat. Despite some of the noise from outside, we were so tired after our days out that we actually slept very well! Overall, this is a simple but comfortable and clean property in a fantastic location.

The main issue for us was the drainage in the shower. The water doesn’t drain quickly or easily, so even after a short five-minute shower, the water would overflow into the bathroom. This meant that I had to clean up the water every day, which was quite inconvenient. Hopefully this is something that can be addressed. The property can also be quite noisy, as you can hear a lot from outside. This was particularly noticeable in the bathroom, where the sound from outside carries quite easily. It didn’t prevent us from sleeping, as the bed was comfortable and the AC was excellent, but it is something light sleepers may want to be aware of. There were also some basic amenities we would have expected to be provided, such as toiletries, which weren’t available. Guests may therefore want to bring their own. The breakfast is quite limited and is essentially the same each morning. We personally didn’t mind this during our three-night stay, but it is worth mentioning for guests who may expect more variety. We paid considerably more than we would have for some of the more established accommodation options in the area, so naturally had slightly higher expectations. That said, we have not stayed elsewhere in Tunisia, so we can’t really make a direct comparison.

Этот гостевой дом - тот редкий случай, когда за дверью плотного, экзотичного и настоящего быта Старого города начинается совсем другой мир: чистый, свежий, камерный, очень безопасный. Новый ремонт, вкусно пахнущий деревом и свежестью, качественная отделка, аккуратные номера, чистое бельё и сервис, который мы высоко оценили в Тунисе. После большого курортного отеля в Хаммамет, оттуда мы приехали, этот контраст особенно заметен: здесь домашний масштаб, такое же домашнее отношение и гораздо больше вкуса и уважения гостю в каждой детали. Отдельное спасибо хозяину за оперативные ответы на любые вопросы и прекрасной женщине, которая с самого раннего утра хлопотала, чтобы гостям было комфортно. Здесь действительно чувствуешь, что тебя ждали и хотят сделать так, чтобы ты остался доволен. Для понимания: это именно Медина - старый город. Узкие улочки, ночью бывает шумно, такси к самому дому не подъезжает, но до места посадки буквально около 100–150 метров пешком. Окна расположены высоко и скорее работают на экзотику интерьера, чем на вид из номера, но в этом есть своя прелесть: номер получается закрытым от внешней суеты, где хорошо выдохнуть после нюансов города и его испепеляющей жары.
