Dar Beate Sousse Medina

We stayed for four nights in the beautiful guesthouse in the twin room “Hakim.” Although the room isn’t very spacious, it was perfectly sufficient for us, and the simple decoration suits its size well. Fatma welcomed us warmly on our first day and took care of preparing breakfast. It was quite simple, but she made sure we got to try some local products, such as hazelnut, date and almond spreads, olive oil, and jasmine honey. We really appreciated her kindness and hospitality! She made us feel home during the whole stay. All in all we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this beautiful and authentic guesthouse.

Unfortunately, the guesthouse only accepts cash and doesn’t provide toiletries. There is also no elevator, and although the location is good, the guesthouse is a little hidden and takes some walking to find. It’s more of a traditional guesthouse than a standard hotel, so you shouldn’t expect daily room cleaning.

I had a wonderful stay at Dar Beate Sousse Medina, and what made it truly special was the owner’s incredible hospitality. The owner was always quick to respond to messages and made me feel as welcome and cared for as a member of the family. During my stay, I took a day trip to El Jem, a town some distance from Sousse, and ran into an unexpected difficulty while trying to get back. The owner responded quickly and kindly helped me through the situation, even though I was away from Sousse. Knowing that someone was there to support me, even when I was far from the accommodation, gave me such peace of mind. I am truly grateful for this kindness, which allowed me to enjoy my trip with much greater confidence. The accommodation itself is beautiful, modern, and very comfortable, with lovely Tunisian-style decor that gives the room so much charm and character. Everything I needed was thoughtfully provided, including a refrigerator, hairdryer, and kettle. The shower was also excellent, with perfect water pressure and temperature. Although the property is in the lively Medina, the room was surprisingly peaceful and quiet, allowing me to sleep very well at night. The combination of a beautiful room, excellent facilities, and such heartfelt hospitality made this stay unforgettable. I would highly recommend Dar Beate Sousse Medina to anyone visiting Sousse. Thank you for making me feel so welcome and for making my time in Tunisia so special!

Nothing to complain about! Everything was comfortable, well thought out, and made my stay enjoyable. The warm hospitality was especially exceptional.

L accueil exceptionnel de Fatma qui se fait tout pour rendre le séjour très agréable. Sans elle l établissement n aurait pas la même qualité Les petits déjeuners personnalisés aux goûts de chacun avec des produits de qualité. La propreté La terrasse Le bâtiment neuf.

La présence d une mosquée, normal dans un pays musulman. Mais là elle touche presque le Dar. Donc attention aux sommeils légers. Les matelas trop durs à notre goût. L absence de gel douche et de shampooing ce qui est regrettable par rapport au prix relativement élevé de l hébergement.
