The apartment is beautiful, bright, and tastefully renovated and decorated. Overall, a very cosy flat for two, located very centrally off a beautiful street.

That being said, I’m quite torn about my experience. First of all, we received NO CHECKIN INSTRUCTIONS. It took 30+ minutes of waiting and 3+ calls to the owner until someone finally met us at the apartment and let us in. This is simply inexcusable communication. Furthermore, the landlord was dishonest and ripped us off, while smiling and offering local guide suggestions to feign friendliness. SHE OVERBOOKED THE FLAT and put us in a different apartment the night we arrived, citing an “issue” with the apartment we had booked—though this apartment, the one we had paid money for (which was definitely nicer than the one she placed us in), was occupied by other guests and there were clearly no issues with it (the two flats are attached through a corridor so we could hear the other guests in our apartment, plus she told us it was currently occupied). She made no explanation until I confronted her that it was not the apartment we had reserved. As there were already guests in the flat we had reserved for the evening (because she OVERBOOKED THEM); her “remedy” was to offer us the original flat the next day once the other guests checked out, and offer a free breakfast (a cappuccino and croissant) at a neighboring cafe. Ridiculous customer service and frankly appalling for the price we paid. While the apartment we eventually ended up in (the one we had actually PAID FOR) was beautiful and very cozy, the questionable communication from the owner left the whole experience soured. I would be wary and would never book again with her.
