Close to everything and it was warm

The rubbish bins and glass bins were so full. It should have been emptied after the last stay

The heat pump wasn't heating and there were a few light bulbs that need replaced

The accommodation layout worked well for us - two seniors and a family of four with two young children.

Overall the property was satisfactory. However, there were annoying issues regarding equipment and maintenance that spoiled the overall experience. For example, kitchen equipment was basic and some items such as glassware very poor (e.g. the only wineglasses were plastic and mismatched, only two matching water glasses) windows in the lounge/dining area very dirty, heat pump slow to respond to settings and not reliable (we actually called the maintenance team on Friday afternoon who responded promptly by supplying oil column heaters, multiple light bulbs were blown or missing including two out of three above the bathroom mirror, recycling bin overflowing and in need of emptying over several stays. Storage in the bedrooms was very poor with no drawers and almost no hanging space or hangers. The garden described as "private" in the Booking.com listing was anything but - there is no rear fence to the section meaning the garden is not secure and the public are able to access the property and see into the rear of the house. Outdoor furniture and decks need repair to make fully usable.
