We loved Les Quatre Saisons. The house is beautiful: all stone, tile and brick, well-constructed and full of light. The gardens and patios appear professionally designed and maintained. The Dordogne River is endlessly fascinating. The house is well-appointed. The hosts, Jacqueline and Jean-Marie, are charming. They live near-by and so quickly addressed a couple of requests. Quatre Saisons is in a very charming, upscale neighborhood and is the only gite on the rue. There is plenty of parking. It is only about a 10 minute walk along the river into vielle Bergerac. Everyone is very friendly. A large supermarché is a 5 minute walk. We definitely intend to return. Merci bien, Jacqueline et Jean-Marie !
Favorite restaurant: Le Riche
Favorite shop: Carousel (the clothing is designed and made right there - the fabric is made in Rouen).
The only suggestion we have is to disconnect the motion-detector on the light in the hallway and install a dimmer switch.
