Communication with the owner was smooth, my questions were always answered. He even called me. Upon my arrival (at noon) he immediately picked up the phone and sent a nice polite young lady to take me in (don´t expect any functioning door bell or a label with the name of the accomodation – it is not there). Although the house itself is far from being well-kept, the accomodatin itself is very good, clean, cozy (decorated by funny artifical flowers :-). The room is not huge, but all you need is there (including a small table, AC, electric fan, profound window blinds and well-equipped bathroom). The bed is comfortable. Four rooms share a small kitchen with a fridge and a terrace with round tables, chairs and a comfortable couch. You can rest there in the evening – in the morning this is the sunny side, so too hot in the summer. This is the quieter side of the house, with a view of distant mountains. Thoug the view of the storage halls is not exactly thrilling, I did not mind. The tram station named Scalo S. Lorenzo/Sardi is right in front of the house (tram 3 or 19 takes you to Porta Maggiore – 3 stops) from where you can take 5 or 14 to Termini. As a whole, the neighbourhood is not exactly nice – strange fences along the tram rails, elevated roads running above the street (two levels for two directions) that you see right in front of your window, garbage here and there, broken sidewalks, no green etc. But it is a few minutes from the University Sapienza. There is a decent supermarket called CONAD just across the street, where you get just anything you may need. A few steps further there is a restaurant. The main problem may be the noise from the street – but every night I was so tired that actually I had no problems to fall asleep. For Rome the price is good. As a whole, I was satisfied with my choice!

Outstanding hotel with excellent service, clean and comfortable rooms, and a fantastic atmosphere. The owner is incredibly kind, professional, and dedicated to making guests feel welcome. One of the best hospitality experiences I’ve had. Highly recommended!

Easy transport into Rome Centre Supermarket across the road

The bed in our room was broken. It took the host 2 hours to move us into the room next door. The second room was an inferior room. Could not see tv due to bad positioning Air conditioning does not work Waited a long time for the host to provide a plug-in fan.
