    I stayed at Hostal Bemaro and really liked my time there! It is a small hostel and feels very homey. The owners are lovely and I felt very comfortable there. It’s on a quieter street but still in the central area. It’s close to Mercado San Juan which I really liked for cheap food. The hostel was quiet when I was there, but cleanliness was on point everyday. If you prefer smaller hostels where you can just relax for a few days in the city, I highly recommend.

    On the plus side, they offer clean drinking water, and there is space to place luggage inside the bunk. However, someone left a drop of blood on my pillowcase. I'm not sure why this hostel is more expensive than other hostels since it doesn't offer many amenities. It's fine for a night's stay.
