Family Holiday Home with private terrace

Caravan was very neat and the small decorations added to the look. Toilets were well stocked with toilet rolls and handwash. Shower was great! Kitchen well stocked with spices, sugar, teabags, washing liquid and bin bags. Host was easy to contact when we needed and responded well to any texts sent. There are a bunch of caravan parks all huddled together at this location - with lots of activities for the kids. Beach is walking distance - about 10 minutes from this caravan - but tide can hide the lovely sand. Jaywick beach is 10 minutes drive but very muddy and full of seaweeds, jellyfish - would not recommend with kids. Main Clacton Pier & beach around it are quite nice. Weekends are crowded but weekdays are quite relaxed here too. No shopping as such. Town centre is boring with McDonalds being the biggest thing!

This is a private owner's holiday home, so none of the park facilities are included. Even the Bar & Cafe require a pass for evenings and hence were not accessible to us - evenings required as we always go out during the days. The park itself has lots of fun activities including swimming pool - all of which will need to be purchased separately at £40 pp. Our kids are older (11, 14 & 15), but with younger kids this may be a thing to consider. A towel drying stand would have been great - we used the deck to dry towels. Also, families need a bigger toaster - there was a tiny 2 slice toaster which made breakfast a whole lot longer process for us (7 people). The tiny toaster was the likely cause of power cut-off - as that + TV were the only two things on. These parks are by the beach but there is no beach view as such. The area itself is a bit deserted - was not comfortable going for a walk alone in the morning (which is like a ritual for me on caravan holidays) - as beach area is isolated away from the caravans. No views. Not very scenic location.

Very very clean, so close to all the facilities especially if you have children the outdoor playground it’s just 2min walk & the outdoor heated swimming pool We had an amazing time & the host very helpful

Comfortable bed, ideal close location to entrance, large car park to front, good strong wifi, nice and tidy inside.

I understand people have CCTV on most caravans now, i just find it intrusive personally especially cameras and camera bells. monitor your coming and goings. Personal opinion, but understandable. Only negative to say, otherwise all very good. Thank you
