Elegant Aesthetic Suites

I'd rate this property 10 out of 10 for location, cleanliness, condition, value for money and the helpfulness of the host. It is new, sparkling clean, has a very well equipped kitchen and a great location. There's even a washing machine which is a big bonus if you are travelling for a few days and pack light. It would have been nice to have some coffee capsules to go with the Nespresso machine but we had our own so it wasn't a problem for us. The weather being nice meant we could sit out at the patio table for breakfast and evening drinks etc but I guess it would have been a different story otherwise, as there is literally nowhere to sit indoors when the sofa is turned into a bed (it is far too low to sit on when it has been made into a bed).

There is only one negative but sadly it is a very big one. The beds, particularly the extra bed / sofa bed is very uncomfortable. The main bed is hard and I guess that could be down to personal preference as some may be OK with that but the sofa bed is not a bed that a paying guest - adult or child - should be made to sleep on. It is not straight so you don't lie in a flat line and it is extremely uncomfortable. That bed needs to be replaced straight away or the room should only be offered at a capacity of 2 only.

Ottima posizione, vicina alla città medievale ma in un posto più tranquillo. Ottime le zanzariere, l’aria condizionata e la doccia. L’appartamento aveva tutto per un soggiorno in comodità.

Nulla. Forse aggiungerei un asciugamano da cucina e delle lampadine da comodino per avere proprio tutto!

It was one of 3 purpose built suites behind a residential building, with well thought out space to provide everything needed. Oil, seasoning and cleaning products supplied. The place was fairly new, and very clean. Was well located, only a 5 min walk from the town gates. Check in instructions were clear and easy. The owner is very communicative and quick to respond.

The bathroom has an unfortunate smell when you flush the toilet. So would be nice to have a 2nd mirror in the place, not in the bathroom, and preferably full lengthed, no current way to check out your outfit. And I was woken up two mornings of my four morning stay. One day was from construction that started before 8am and sounded like it was right outside the window. The other was the first morning with a 10:30 knock on the door (when it was still 8:30am to me) I woke up to a couple quick knocks on the door, then someone letting themselves in before I even fully woke up. They left when I started yelling from the bedroom. But wasn't a nice way to start the stay. Owner claims it was cleaners, but there's no cleaning service advertised during the stay. And if you're an extreme introvert like me, you may find the pre stay communications a bit annoying.

A newly renovated apartment, which looked nice. The owner is contacted easily and came to the apartment when we experienced some problems.

When we arrived, the place didn’t look as neat as the pictures. The towels were outside the apartment, there was a dirty spot on the bed and a cockroach beside the toilet. When we called the owner if the place was cleaned, he became very defensive. He came to the apartment, after we had told what we had found. He cleaned up the cockroach and told us that even though there were spots on the bed, they were clean and that he couldn’t replace them anytime a guest made a spot on it. I was quite sad during the moment, because it was late in the evening and we didn’t have anywhere else to go. He told me that “I shouldn’t be sad” and that “if you’re sad about this, you won’t like anything in Rhodos”. He also said that we went and looked for stuff, after we ‘found the cockroach’, which was not the case at all. It’s quite frustrating to pay quite a lot for an apartment, find it not being cleaned properly and not being taken seriously. We stayed, since we only had booked it for a short stay and made the best of it. I did enjoy Rhodos in the end, but most definitely not because of the hostility of the owner/the apartment. Our recommendation would be to place the towels inside next time and buy new sheets.
