Aura Old Town

Excellent and safe stay – highly recommended! The place was spotless, well-maintained and very comfortable. We had fresh, clean towels and bedsheets, quiet and efficient air conditioning on both floors, a functional kitchenette with new appliances (fridge/freezer, washing machine, coffee maker, kettle), and fast, stable WiFi. There are two beds: a junior double downstairs (~140 cm) and a queen-size bed upstairs (~160 cm). The bathroom is small and a bit dated, but very clean with good water pressure. Note that shampoo and conditioner are not provided – just bring your own. The location is great – right in the heart of Rhodes Old Town, in a calm and safe area close to restaurants, shops, and two beaches (Elli Beach is about a 20–30 min walk). There are also free golf cart shuttles marked “public transport” driving around Old Town, which are helpful if you have mobility issues. The host was amazing – extremely friendly, generous, and helpful! We were picked up from the bus station in Rhodes city/Mandraki, received a guided tour of Rhodes, and even got a lift to the store and our next destination after check-out. We also received free bottled water in the fridge on arrival and were provided with essentials like dish soap and laundry detergent.

A few things to keep in mind: – The staircase to the upper floor is steep – be careful. – The whole bathroom gets wet when you shower, as there’s no divider (the shower is located between the toilet and the toilet sink – but it dries quickly. – It’s a quiet area, though occasionally you hear people passing by outside – not a problem for us.
