- Very clean - Efficient AC - Welcoming check in as we were lucky with in-person check in and hose being there - Host sends video with driving directions as it can be tricky - Plenty of storage space for clothing - Great facilities: washing machine, Dishwasher, coffee machine, oven all working in good order - Great guide of local activities - Great wifi speed

Possibly Madeira-wide: but lack of S bend in the bathroom does lead to a slightly musky smell coming from the drains. However all drains were closable with a lever which helped

The location is within easy walking distance of local shops and restaurants, so getting around was never an issue. The apartment itself was spacious and comfortable, with everything you'd need for a longer stay. The facilities genuinely stood out: a well-equipped kitchen, fast Wi-Fi, and thoughtful extras that made it feel more like home than a typical rental. Check-in was smooth and the host was responsive. A great option if you're looking for something beyond a standard hotel room.

The sewer smell coming from the bathroom was the biggest issue - it spread throughout the entire apartment and was hard to ignore, really impacting the comfort of our stay. The host did try to fix it, but without success. On top of that, the apartment is inside a mall, so the air conditioning hum is constant in the background.
