About this apartment rental
1 bedroom 1 bath ground floor unit located in the Penthouse Building. This ground floor corner unit has easy access. Patio opens up to the courtyard and pool area with a short 75 yard walk to the beach through a manicured courtyard. Bedroom has a queen size adjustable bed and a new queen sofa sleeper in the living room. Lighted ceiling fans are in the bedroom and living room. Kitchen is fully stocked with all dishes, cookware, and appliances, including a Keurig and a traditional coffee maker. Tile throughout unit. Sleeps 4 people. Non-smoking.
Beach Service – If you didn’t pre-reserve beach chairs, just stop by the beach hut or call the Excel team at In addition to chairs and umbrellas, Excel offers kayaks and paddle boards for rent, as well as an assortment of snacks and drinks.
Tennis, Basketball, Pickleball, and Shuffleboard – Forget your gear? No worries, you can check out rackets, balls, and more at the front desk at no charge!
Grilling Out – In the busy months of spring and summer, many families opt to grill out rather than go out. We have eight charcoal grills available. There are several seafood markets nearby, including Blalock’s which is just a block to the west (p.s., their tuna dip is a must try!).
Fitness Center – Did you know we have a fitness center in the Penthouse building? Just stop by the front desk to borrow the key.
Family Activities – There’s always something fun on the itinerary at Silver Dunes:
• Annual Easter Egg Hunt in the Courtyard – Easter Sunday, 9 am in the courtyard
• Scavenger Hunts – Throughout the Spring – for children of all ages! Just stop by the office to pick up your scavenger hunt necessities. Once you’ve collected everything, stop back by the office to pick a surprise from the Silver Dunes treasure chest!
• Movies in the Courtyard – Bring a picnic blanket, your beach chairs, and join us on Mondays at dusk throughout June and July. We show a different family-friendly movie each week.
• S’mores Nights with Live Music at the Pool –Wednesday nights are awesome at Silver Dunes! Throughout June and July, the firepits will be out, s’mores roasting, and tunes playing!

stayed in Unit #001, 1 bedroom, was perfect for us, 3 adults. Had plenty of cooking supplies and everything we needed for the stay. We missed the movie night but enjoyed the music on Wednesday night by the pool. that musician was great! we had a blast negatives.

Patio door needs to be worked on. VERY HARD to open and shut. It needs a lot of lubrication because it’s so heavy and hard to move. Otherwise, a very nice comfortable condominium with everything we needed.

Overall, we were satisfied with our unit and our stay. We were very confused getting to Silver Dunes, and until maintenance came to do some touch-ups, we were confused on how to get in contact with anybody. There was a contact left on the right side nightstand, a tumbler and paper towels behind the left side nightstand, a shelf in the kitchen had been replaced before we arrived and fell once we made our stay. Also, someone kept placing their mop directly in front of our patio. We weren’t sure why, we moved it one time and it ended up back in front of our patio. Not sure what that was all about. Despite all of that, we really enjoyed the stay. The condo was stocked, it was clean (for the most part) it remained cool, wifi worked awesome. The security guard was really nice too!!
