*UNIT D201 INCLUDES COMPLIMENTARY BEACH SERVICE (2 CHAIRS, 1 UMBRELLA). Bright cheerful, 2 BR 2 BA, non-smoking second floor unit with large porch, view of beach, gulf and courtyard, close to pool and stairs and accessible by elevator. Full size washer and dryer in unit, enhanced and faster Wi-Fi internet connection (50 Mbps as contrasted to 15 Mbps; L/R has 55'' High Definition "smart" TV to connect to internet w/ High Definition DVR to record your favorite TV shows while on beach or at pool, Blue Ray DVD Player, Remote controlled AM/FM dual CD/Cassette Radio. Master BR- ! king; Second BR - 2 twins w/plush top mattresses; LR sofa bed with TV in each BR w/ built in Cd player. Unit will sleep 8. Completely renovated in 2015 and updated annually.
Beach Service – If you didn’t pre-reserve beach chairs, just stop by the beach hut or call the Excel team at In addition to chairs and umbrellas, Excel offers kayaks and paddle boards for rent, as well as an assortment of snacks and drinks.
Tennis, Basketball, Pickleball, and Shuffleboard – Forget your gear? No worries, you can check out rackets, balls, and more at the front desk at no charge!
Grilling Out – In the busy months of spring and summer, many families opt to grill out rather than go out. We have eight charcoal grills available. There are several seafood markets nearby, including Blalock’s which is just a block to the west (p.s., their tuna dip is a must try!).
Fitness Center – Did you know we have a fitness center in the Penthouse building? Just stop by the front desk to borrow the key.
Family Activities – There’s always something fun on the itinerary at Silver Dunes:
• Annual Easter Egg Hunt in the Courtyard – Easter Sunday, 9 am in the courtyard
• Scavenger Hunts – Throughout the Spring – for children of all ages! Just stop by the office to pick up your scavenger hunt necessities. Once you’ve collected everything, stop back by the office to pick a surprise from the Silver Dunes treasure chest!
• Movies in the Courtyard – Bring a picnic blanket, your beach chairs, and join us on Mondays at dusk throughout June and July. We show a different family-friendly movie each week.
• S’mores Nights with Live Music at the Pool –Wednesday nights are awesome at Silver Dunes! Throughout June and July, the firepits will be out, s’mores roasting, and tunes playing!

We loved our stay at Silver Dunes this year! We have been staying on this property for the last 8 years and stayed in several units. This unit has been our favorite since having children. The location and views are perfect for us and our two young kids. The unit itself fits our needs perfectly. The kitchen is well stocked with all cooking essentials; pans, serving dishes, etc. We didn’t rebook this unit next year as we will be staying in a 3 bedroom unit with another family. But this unit was perfect for the 4 of us!

It was a perfect location. Quick walk to the beach and overlooking the pool so I could keep an eye on kids when I had to go to room. Wished we could have figured out how to change the settings on TV to English BEFORE the last night there. Overall very nice stay.

Overall Silver Dunes is a great place to vacation. Unit D201 does need some attention and some updating. The washer and dryer both need to be replaced. We always want to rent a unit with these accommodations. The dryer did not give us any problems, but the washer made a terrible noise. The area rug also needs to be replaced, because it is dirty from several years of use.
