About this apartment rental
NEWLY RENOVATED Located in the penthouse building, this is a large 2 bedroom 2 bath ground floor unit 8 sleeps 8, Patio opens up to the pool and our luscious green courtyard with a short 75 yard walk to the beach. This unit features king bed in master bedroom, a queen and double bed in guest room and sleeper sofa in living room.Kitchen has been upgraded with granite counter-tops and stainless steel kitchen appliances. Kitchen is fully stocked with dishes and appliances. NON SMOKING
Beach Service – If you didn’t pre-reserve beach chairs, just stop by the beach hut or call the Excel team at In addition to chairs and umbrellas, Excel offers kayaks and paddle boards for rent, as well as an assortment of snacks and drinks.
Tennis, Basketball, Pickleball, and Shuffleboard – Forget your gear? No worries, you can check out rackets, balls, and more at the front desk at no charge!
Grilling Out – In the busy months of spring and summer, many families opt to grill out rather than go out. We have eight charcoal grills available. There are several seafood markets nearby, including Blalock’s which is just a block to the west (p.s., their tuna dip is a must try!).
Fitness Center – Did you know we have a fitness center in the Penthouse building? Just stop by the front desk to borrow the key.
Family Activities – There’s always something fun on the itinerary at Silver Dunes:
• Annual Easter Egg Hunt in the Courtyard – Easter Sunday, 9 am in the courtyard
• Scavenger Hunts – Throughout the Spring – for children of all ages! Just stop by the office to pick up your scavenger hunt necessities. Once you’ve collected everything, stop back by the office to pick a surprise from the Silver Dunes treasure chest!
• Movies in the Courtyard – Bring a picnic blanket, your beach chairs, and join us on Mondays at dusk throughout June and July. We show a different family-friendly movie each week.
• S’mores Nights with Live Music at the Pool –Wednesday nights are awesome at Silver Dunes! Throughout June and July, the firepits will be out, s’mores roasting, and tunes playing!

This unit butrs up against the wider part of the Penthouse building so the patio feels like it’s tucked away in a private corner. There is enough room on the patio with the ground in front of it for lots of people to gather without being in anyone’s way. That is my favorite part of unit 008.The furnishings are beautiful and very comfortable. The kitchen is everything you’d expect so if you are a bit of a chef, you will want to bring your own knife. The master bedroom is huge so plenty of room for a pack-n-play if needed. This was our second time in unit 008 and I will choose it again.

Our five week stay at Silver Dunes was wonderful! This is our fifth year staying here and every time it has been great! The staff from Amber, Mary Lou, Andy and others are always very pleasant. Our property is always clean, neat and well furnished. Golfing at Blackstone, Eagle Springs, Links, and Regatta Bay was fantastic. I would definitely recommend to friends and family.

This is our 4th time renting here and the 3rd time in Unit 8. We found new furniture in master bedroom and new tv in living room. The owners keep this place very neat. Everything we need. Amber and Mary Lou are the best. Always willing to help out. The grounds are always kept clean.
