A nice place to spend a few days in Madeira. An excellent base for exploring the island. A spacious flat with a terrace and, best of all, a covered parking space – which is really handy, as a car is essential for getting around. The host was extremely responsive. Recommended.

The location is superb. While the overall price point is quite attractive, I’d personally be willing to pay a premium for a bit more comfort. Having on-site parking is a definite plus.

My friends and I were quite disappointed with our stay. We visited Madeira during a spell of rather windy and rainy weather in late February. While we completely understand that houses in Madeira typically lack central heating—and this property is no exception—it would have been nice not to deal with broken windows. Three doors in the apartment were improperly sealed and somewhat damaged, making the space incredibly drafty and cold. The bathroom situation also fell short of our expectations. First, the property is advertised as having two bathrooms, but in reality, there is only one full bathroom and a separate toilet. While having a second toilet is certainly convenient, the listing is somewhat misleading, as we were expecting a different setup. Furthermore, the shower wasn't draining properly; whether it was clogged or just poorly designed, it resulted in having to stand in a pool of water. To make matters worse, there was no proper place to dry our towels. We had to drape them over coat hangers around the apartment, which, given the already compact space, was rather inconvenient for four adults. I would consider the rooms to be on the smaller side, but we managed to make it work, and since we only stayed for two nights, it was bearable. On an administrative note, I would highly recommend the host send communications in both Portuguese and English to save guests the hassle of translating messages. I am not trying to leave a purely negative review, but I believe these issues are worth noting for future guests. Overall, I certainly wouldn't rate this accommodation a 9/10.
