About this house rental
Relax and enjoy COOL OCEAN BREEZES and LAKE/FOUNTAIN views from the SCREENED PORCH of this like-new luxurious coastal home! Or, snuggle up to the warmth of the fireplace while watching the wildlife on the Lake! . Exquisite furnishings and custom decorations abide in this spacious home. The community 'boardwalk', with gazebo, takes you directly to the community clubhouse with gym, tv, swimming pool, kiddie pool, playground, tennis and pickle ball court, a one minute walk from house. There is catch and release fishing from the boardwalk, (no license required). There are no additional fees to use the numerous amenities. Walk a few steps to PUBLIC GOLF COURSE, and grocery store and restaurants. . Relax on the wrap-around front porch side porch, balcony or the screened porch on plush, cushioned wicker furniture.
Sleeping accomodations include a lakefront, FIRST FLOOR, KING MASTER SUITE, tv and beautiful lighted fountain views. The Master tiled bath has a sunken tub and double shower with two massage shower heads. The SECOND FLOOR KING BR has attached bath, smart TV and lake view A THIRD MASTER SUITE HAS A QUEEN BED, en-suite BATH , AND beautiful sunsets can be enjoyed from the adjoining balcony. The 4th bedroom has A QUEEN OVER QUEEN BUNKBED and a TWIN BED. The 5th bedroom has one FUTON/BUNK BED AND A TWIN. The 6th bedroom On first floor is open den with daybed and trundle; makes split king size bed. There is 1 queen sleeper sofa on the first level.
The TWO STORY SUNNY FAMILY ROOM is equipped with a 50” smart TV, DVD with surround sound system, gas fireplace, loft overlook with CLAWFOOT OAK POOL TABLE, PALLADIUM WINDOWS IN LOFT overlooking the lake and fountains. Stereo speakers are placed in the family room, living room, and master bedroom. Take a nap on CUSHIONED WICKER SOFA on SCREENED PORCH, which sides to crape myrtle trees, gardens, and views of lake fountains; perfect for relaxing on a rainy day! The sunroom/den open to additional dining space. The gourmet kitchen is fully equipped and has a center island., regular coffee pot and Keurig, There is dining seating to accommodate up to 18.
Additional amenities include a large book library, board games, and puzzles, 4 standard BEACH CHAIRS, ( 2 beach cruisers )The gated community is 5 minutes from Bethany Beach by car , or 10 minutes by bike. There are restaurants , grocery store and an ice cream shop within walking distance, open during the summer season. There is also an huge playground (in addition to our neighborhood playground )about 1 mile from the house at John West Park, which has rocking chair seating in the shade and a dog walking area.
There is an arcade in the town midway; There is a water park in Fenwick Island called Thunder Lagoon (5 miles south) that has a lazy river, kiddie pool, and water slides. Lots of putt-putt golfing options the in area. Rehoboth Beach (12 miles north) and Ocean City, MD also have water parks and amusement parks with rides.
Bethany Beach boardwalk area has restaurants, charming shops, toy stores, art galleries, arcade, volleyball and free concerts at the Gazebo bandstand. There is also a miniature golf course.
Acres and acres of nature conservancy next to our community is perfect for strolling, biking and jogging! Looped trails and bridges are a relaxing way to get exercise and appreciate nature. Enjoy beautiful, unspoiled, picturesque views of preserved bay with many wild birds and plenty of shade. Don't miss this activity! (Trail heads east on Fred Hudson and then trails traverse their way through Bay Pine forest over bridges and maintained trails to the preserved bay and wet lands). There are also sunset and moon kayak paddles offered within a mile on the Indian River, which you can schedule through Eco Bay Kayak and SUP at James Farm Preserve Ecological Park. The sunsets are sensational.
Kayaking in Delaware:
Delaware has only 2,000 square miles, but with 117 miles of coastline, it has much to offer kayakers. In addition to beautiful launches at Cape Henlopen and Delaware Seashore state parks, there’s a lesser-known gem near South Bethany Beach. The three-mile-long Assawoman Canal, connecting the Indian River Bay (to the north) with the Little Assawoman Bay (to the south) is a charming, serene canal.
The canal is a 35-foot-wide no-wake zone. Many sections have a lovely tree canopy that makes a green arch over the canal. It feels remote, offers shade and shelters paddlers from strong wind. There’s a primitive, free launch site by the Jefferson Bridge off Kent Avenue. It is on Guy Street, an unmarked dirt road, 5 minutes from house.

Excellent family vacation home; getting to community pool was easy, just across the lake on boardwalk. Very safe within gated community for children riding bikes or walking. Fed the Canadian geese in the morning, turtles and fish in pond. Yard was great for yard games. House was just as photos suggested and pool table was a big hit in our family. We had 6 adults, two teens, 3 small children and an infant. Very satisfied with quality and price paid. Well worth the linen service option.

The house was as described in a very quiet gated community. Having the community pool, pickleball courts and fitness center was good as well didn’t have to driver there.

My 1st Family vacation with 12 of my children and grandchildren, beautiful home, perfect space and location. The pool table in the recreation room was a big success with the teens and young adults, movie night in the spacious living room added a nice touch, Morning joe and sunsets on the screened in porch overlooking a beautiful lake and pier was spectacular. The community pool and gym were very nice, Check in and out was a breeze, communication with the host Debbie and Ted were very efficient and quick response. I would definitely return for my next annual family vacation.Keep up the good work, I'll see you next year!

The house wasn’t cleaned properly either from previous guests or just in general and the pool was closed already for the season even though we had 70s and 80s the whole week and sunny! If I knew the pool was going to be closed, I’d have chose a different property.
