Bethany Home with 6 Bedroom, 2 Master Suites. Saturday to Saturday during summer

We were able to check in early as no one stayed the previous night. House was very large, enough bedrooms/bathrooms for 3 families to share. Beautiful screened back porch, no bugs, large eating area, two gas grills somewhat older. Our stay was during a heat wave, the upstairs dehumidifier/air conditioner was having a problem keeping up, communication w/ host was fast, they did get someone to fix it within 24 hours so overnight sleeping wouldn't be unbearable. Would suggest window blinds for upstairs loft as sun beats right in on whoever sleeps on pull out bed. 15 minute walk to beach along busy road but does have sidewalks/ bike path. Suggest wagon for all of your gear to pull or use free trolley which is a bit of a ride to and from the beach. They will make you fold up your full wagon to fit on. Older people will not like this long walk to beach. Some bikes there, not all worked and mostly rusted but you’ll find a few to ride. Nifty Bike wagon also to pull along items to pool/beach. One beach umbrella worked, 2nd one missing its pole. Nice area w/many friendly families. Basketball courts/tennis w/pool across the road diagonally and safe area. There is a weekly pool fee 35 per person/10 per day that also gets you to a 2nd community pool a 10 minute walk or 2 minute drive around the community w/more tennis/Pickleball courts and a much larger pool that’s heated and many picnic tables/ lounge chairs. Fun kids bingo night on Wednesdays! Great communication with the host. Enjoy!

Our family had a wonderful stay at this beautiful Bethany Beach home. With six adults and four children (ages 6, 6, 5, and 18 months), we needed plenty of space, and the house was perfect for our group. The six bedrooms and four bathrooms provided ample room for everyone to spread out comfortably, while the common areas were spacious and inviting for family gatherings. The home was exceptionally well-equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing vacation. We especially appreciated the thoughtful extras provided by the owners, including beach chairs, boogie boards, and a variety of toys for the children. These amenities made our beach days easy and enjoyable and helped keep the kids entertained throughout our stay. The house was clean, comfortable, and clearly maintained with guests in mind. The owners' attention to detail and generosity made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. We would gladly stay here again and highly recommend this property to families or larger groups looking for a comfortable and well-appointed home in Bethany Beach.

Perfect rental, walking distance to the beach and across from pickleball courts and pool. Owner is quick to address questions and concerns. Lovely spacious home!

Nice screened in porch and front porch, walkable to the boardwalk without any beach gear. Pool across the street but true hours are actually 1130-6, as they have swim lessons for first 90 min. Cons-dirty, filthy house! Overall, his cleaning crew needs fired...if there even is one. Fingerprints all over kitchen appliances, counters cluttered with old popcorn buckets. We found 2 bags of open fritos under one of the bathroom cabinets. Handrail going up the stairs is black and sticky. Drawers with crumbs, brown sugar that expired in 2020. Kitchen is far from "fully stocked", bedspreads had a necklace from previous renters, so we removed it and the mattress pad underneath had blood stains on it. Stained carpets everywhere. Most concerning was that when I contacted the owner to ask what needed documented to avoid charges and to tell him that a closet door fell on my sister's shoulder and luckily not on a child's head, he replied "so sorry, meant to tell you about that and the glass fan globe in the main living room is loose and may fall, so don't put the fan on high". I think safety issues with children involved should have been communicated immediately, not a "so sorry". Won't stay again. Some bedrooms don't have lightbulbs working, some don't even have a lamp. Closets don't have hangers. Fans and vents caked with the thick, black dust so they have yet to be cleaned at all this season. Price is fair for what is offered, but owner doesn't care about your experience here.
