LAKEFRONT property with private dock and covered boat slip on Watauga Lake. Located in quiet cove perfect for swimming, fishing, relaxing.
Wake up and enjoy your morning cup of coffee watching the steam roll off the water. Next, sip and enjoy your favorite beverage down by the water, fish off the lower deck, or get your float on and relax on the dock. In the evening, get your grill on at the top deck or snuggle up by the fire pit for an evening s’mores session.
The living space: you walk in to the living room with beautiful high ceiling, brand new modern updated decor with lots of natural light. The kitchen and dining room provide ample supplies and seating for 6 guests.
The best room, the sunroom, will swing you into a state of pure relaxation. Snuggle up in a egg chair with your favorite book and enjoy water views from every window.
The bedrooms:
Room 1: the master bedroom is located upstairs. It has own king size bed, tv and its own bathroom with an incredible view that overlooks the lake and modern walk-in doorless shower.
Room 2: is located downstairs on the main living area. It has its own king size bed. It shares a hallway full bathroom amd overlooks the lush mountain greenery.
Room 3: is a loft bedroom with its own king size bed. It has incredible views that overlook the lake.
Property has multiple landings for outdoor entertainment.
Other things to note:
*You are in a rural area of the Cherokee national forest.
*NEW 300 Mbps Fiber internet! Prior to March 2023, the only available internet in our area was DSL which was intermittent and sometimes unreliable and listed as such. Then we are able to get Starlink in the spring 2023, which was significantly better. We now have a new fiber option which is fast and reliable!

NEVER BEEN TO WATAUGA LAKE?
Watauga Lake is an extremely beautiful and clean recreational lake (3rd cleanest in the country) located in the Cherokee National forest with 105 miles of shoreline. More than half of the lake is mountainous national forest and cannot be developed, so its really naturally beautiful and not crazy overpopulated with boats. This hidden gem is known to be one of the most beautiful lakes on the east coast. Watauga lake is great for boating, jet-skiing, tubing, skiing/wakeboarding, fishing, swimming, kayaking etc.
Downstream of the dam is a very popular whitewater rafting area as most of the local companies in TN and NC bring their patrons here. Hiking is also very popular as the Appalachian trail and a couple of small waterfalls are nearby. This property is also close to attractions in Boone, Banner Elk and Blowing Rock, NC and also attractions in eastern TN.
We have great sunny summers with no mosquitoes and beautiful fall colors when the leaves change. In the winter time, skiing is a popular option at nearby Sugar and Beech Mountain. This is a spectacular mountain and lake getaway.
Stair notice: Nestled in a scenic mountainous location, this charming vacation rental offers the perfect lakeside retreat. Please note that the property features approximately 15 steps leading to the front door, and additional steps down to the dock. As with most properties on the lake, the terrain offers a bit of a climb and descent, making it a great option for guests who appreciate nature and don't mind a little extra effort. My spouse and I went for some R&R to fish and hike and just enjoy nature. Great house with amazing natural light and views ! Location right on the lake was just what we needed.

Beautifully decorated house, with lots of windows and outdoor spaces to enjoy the views of the lake. It is on a “finger” of the lake, so there is virtually no boat traffic. Very peaceful and quiet. Property manager was very responsive.

I had great concern with the condition of the steps leading down to the front door. It would appear they have shifted. The slope is unsafe and the whole staircase is leaning. I can provide pictures if you like. I am a retired Fire Code Official from NC, and I don't think that stair would pass inspection. The kitchen does not have an exhaust fan, which led to a nuisance activation of the smoke detector in the dining area, when we used our cappuccino machine. Later, the same detector went into battery fail, and we had to remove the batteries to get it to shut up. Mattresses were hard as a rock. The gas grill was used up and rusted. Only one burner in the grill would light. We really couldn't take advantage of the lake access... too many steps for our age group.The place WAS quiet and clean. The scenery was outstanding. With a little attention, it could be much better.Jenelle was very nice and did call us back regarding what to do with the smoke detector. You can reach me at my email.Thanks,Terry
