Two-week family stayLet's start with the pros:The oceanfront balcony was definitely the highlight for us. We saw fishes, a turtle, dolphins, and—above all—plenty of surfersThe condo is in a great location, close to restaurants and all kinds of shopsIt is very well laid out, with ample seating, plenty of storage, a fully equipped kitchen, and comfortable, clean bedsCommunication with the owner was easyNow for the cons:The main issue was that the people sleeping in the master bedroom (where the A/C unit is located) froze throughout the stay; the unit had to run constantly to cool the second bedroom enough to keep the occupants from being hot, yet it still remained hot in thereWater pressure in the showers is week—especially in the second bathroom, where it’s little more than a trickleThe hot water tank doesn't provide enough hot water for more than two consecutive showers; the third and fourth people have to wait a while before showeringThe condo needs a little bit more TLC, and the cleaning was very superficial; a more thorough job is needed. However, once we cleaned it ourselves and settled in, we really enjoyed our stayDespite the inconveniences—some of which could be remedied—and once you get used to the reality of the downsides, I would still recommend this condo because the advantages outweigh the disadvantages

This property was absolutely wonderful. It was beautiful and the pics do not do it justice. Every morning we would watch the surfers and it is so convenient to everywhere we wanted to be. Host was perfect and responded within minutes. Had no problems! Don’t pass this one up!!! Total gem.

Our experience was outstanding. We found ourselves mesmerizing by watching the waves crashing outside our lanai and the surfers that gathered starting at 6 am. There were four of us, my husband and me, and our adult children. The layout of the condo allowed privacy for both couples. The host was very responsive and generous by supplying staples for our stay, such as laundry supplies, toilet paper, paper towels, soap, etc. The condo location was convenient to restaurants, shopping, and the airport. All were within 30 minutes. Our trip was to celebrate milestone birthdays for both me and my husband. Our host knew this and we arrived she had fresh flowers and a birthday balloon to welcome us. Our stay in Kona was truly memorable. Thank you, Dana.

Just a couple of things, for 4 people staying 10 days we just needed more paper products, like toilet paper and paper towels. The lanai is not usable when your are running the mini split as the exhaust is blows right where your sitting. Other than that it was great
