This lovely St. George Plantation home located just steps to the beach boardwalk features a private pool, fantastic Gulf views from both decks, charming coastal décor with plenty of comfortable furnishings and exclusive community amenities including bicycle paths, nature trails, fitness center, 2 Olympic sized community pools, tennis court, pickleball court and basketball court!
Located in a secluded setting, Beachy Keen is close to Island shops, restaurants, nightlife, multi-use paths, St. George Lighthouse Museum and playground, fishing pier and is just a short drive to the State Park. Across the bridge are Eastpoint's seafood markets and craft brewery and the trendy shops, eateries, and galleries of historic and charming Apalachicola are just 30 minutes by car. Your vacation will be “beachy keen” at this beach vacation home that puts the best of the Forgotten Coast within easy reach!
The exterior of this home offers under-house concrete parking, a sparkling private pool (heated for a fee), enclosed outdoor shower, fish cleaning area and is near the beach boardwalk leading to our award winning, sugar white sand beaches on the Gulf of Mexico!
Exterior stairs provide access to this vacation home's interiors that offer a charming beachy décor with warm wood paneling and lots of natural light flooding in through windows and glass doors. Sleeping accommodations on the first floor feature the queen master bedroom with flat screen TV and direct deck access with coastal views, the king bedroom with flat screen TV and the trundle bedroom (2 twins) that shares a full bathroom with the king bedroom in the hallway.
The second floor features a wonderful, fully stocked kitchen that offers tile counters, updated appliances and lots of natural light through windows offering coastal views. At mealtime, there is plenty of seating at the large dining table and counter barstools. The open living area on the third floor offers upscale furnishings and eye catching beach décor. In the cooler months, cozy up in front of the wood-burning fireplace. The living area provides amazing coastal views and direct deck access. The king master bedroom on the third floor (private staircase down to your full bathroom) offers privacy and stunning coastal views.

This home is across the street from the beach and close to the boardwalk. The views from the living room and bedrooms are great. The deck area has plenty of furniture and overlooks the gulf, which we loved. The house was dated but clean. The furniture and rugs are worn and a few pieces are broken. The kitchen is small but well-stocked. The management company was great to work with. Overall, we had a great stay.

We enjoyed our time in this place. It has a large area for family to just hang out. Several couches and chairs in a very open atmosphere. The kitchen was adequete and the dining table was huge. It allowed 8 people to play games around it. The pool is well taken care of and perfect for our group. Access to the beach is convienent being basically across the street.

Beachy Keen is ideally located for us. Less expensive than houses on the beach but a very short walk to the beach. Very quiet. Better view of ocean than most non-beachfront houses. It is an older house, generally well maintained. Some negatives are the range display was missing some lights and we couldn't tell the temperature. The bottom drawer was off-track and wouldn't slide well. The living room furniture upholstery could use a good cleaning. The downstairs arrangement was a little awkward. To get to the back bedroom, you have to go through the bathroom, or through the small room with the daybed/trundle. If the bathroom is occupied by someone else, and someone is sleeping or undressed in the daybed room, then you can't get to the back bedroom. I suggest a floorplan diagram in the listing, so people can decide if this will work or not for them. We managed okay. Overall, we really liked the quiet location, short walk to the beach, and the view from the living room. The pool looks very nice, but it was too cold to swim.
