About this house rental

Welcome to The Palms, a vacation beach house located on St George Island at the 24x7 gated community, Plantation. This is a 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom house situated across the street from the beach. We have an obstructed but awesome Gulf view from the second floor. Our guests have access to all of our community amenities including two large community pools, tennis courts, pickle ball court, bike paths, nature trails and easy access to prime fishing spot, Bob Sikes Cut.
On the ground floor we have two parking spaces under the house (more parking spaces in backyard), fish preparation table, shower with hot/cold water and a shed with beach toys,bikes and beach wagon.
First Floor.
There are 4 bedrooms, 2 full baths and a living area/hall on the first floor of the house. All bedrooms have queen size beds and spacey closets. Three of the bedrooms have tv. Both bathrooms have 2 entry doors: one from adjacent bedroom and another from the foyer. So you can control the access to the bathroom if you need: the bathrooms could be shared downstairs, but can be easily locked to make it fully private to bedrooms.
The Second Floor.
The high vaulted ceiling in the center of the house gives a wonderful sense of space, airy and light.
There is a large living area, dining area, kitchen, laundry/full bathroom, two furnished decks and screened porch on the second floor. The open floor plan living/dining/kitchen concept allows families to stay connected and create memories that will last a lifetime.
The kitchen with breakfast bar keeps the chefs of the family just earshot away. It is equipped with dishes, microwave, side by side refrigerator, stove, oven, toaster, pans, coffee maker, blender. You will enjoy the view of the Gulf while preparing your meal!
Dining area has a dining table which seats six comfortably and is attached to the kitchen and living area.
Additional seating for 4 is available at the breakfast bar or you may prefer to enjoy your meals on the decks or screened porch.
Living area has a sofa, love seat, couple chairs and a large TV. There is also a telescope here so you can watch the planets and stars. The living area is large, light-filled, open and comfortable with the water view through sliding glass deck doors.

Washer and dryer are available in the laundry/full bath on this level.

Our twin sun decks (East and West) are furnished. They provide the best place to see sunrise and sunset, enjoy refreshing breeze from the Gulf or just to have a good time with friends or family.

The Bay side screened porch is an old-style Florida porch where many warm evenings with cool breeze has been enjoyed. In this porch you will be at home with nature and may be blessed with sightings of bald eagles, herons, owls, egrets and other local wildlife.
Our rentals are by week or month with occasional exceptions. If you wish to rent for a shorter/longer period of time we encourage you to contact us. Please let us know the dates and how many people/pets are going to stay in the house. We will try to accommodate your needs.

Two dogs-$120 fee pet/stay. One dog-$75 pet fee.

The location in The Plantation is good, and St George Island is a Florida secret destination. The house is very nice, clean and well decorated. The layout described on-line is inaccurate. The house has three stories: First is storage and "stilts" for storm protection; second is four bedrooms with two baths which open into the adjoining BR's and the entry hall, third is kitchen, LR & bathroom/laundry with morning deck and afternoon deck and screen backyard porch with fan. Access to 3d floor is via stair from ground and circular stair from entry hall. The layout dictates sharing bathrooms and hauling food to 3d floor. Whew!!! Club house pool is delightful; folks from Tenn have discovered St George and they are very nice.
