About this house rental
Le Logis des Abbesses (fifteenth / sixteenth century) was completely renovated in spring 2015. It is totally independent and has a large paved courtyard, a large garden (400 m2) both fenced. It is classified "furnished accommodation 4 *." The ground floor consists of a large living room in the former parlor of the house and a fully equipped kitchen opening onto the courtyard to the east; a lavatory. On the first floor, a library opening in the West (bed 90 x 190) gives access to the room Abbesses located in the old upper room of the house (double bed 160 x 200), to the chamber of the Loire (2 beds 80 x 200 for a double bed or two twin beds) and a bathroom (shower, toilet and sink). On the second floor, a landing gives access to the Garden bedroom opening to the East (2 beds 80 x 200 double bed or twin beds) and en suite bathroom opening to the Loire (bath, toilet, washbasin ) and a kichnette (fridge) and laundry (washing machine). Access to the garden.
Free parking is available to tenants (2 places) in the neighboring property to make the most of the paved courtyard and take meals (barbecue available).

We enjoyed our stay in Montsoreau, the Logis des Abbesses had everything that we needed. There was secure parking for our car, three well equipped bedrooms, a comfortable living room, a large screen tv, and lots of outside space. The facilities of the village are minutes away and there are good restaurants, bars, an an excellent butcher & baker.We hope to return.

The quality, location and service of the property were perhaps the best we have known. The owner is very responsive to messages and had an electrician at the house within 2 hours of our announcing an electricity problem (and later sent a bottle of Loire wine as apology for the inconvenience). Nathalie, who managed our stay, was cheerful, attentive and quickly available for any question. An historic building constructed against a limestone cliff, the house was restored in 2015 with full architectural finesse and decorated tastefully with attention to functionality. It is a roomy place for six people with three dining areas (two outdoor, one indoor). The walled-in yard on the ground floor leads into the kitchen/guest toilet/dining/living areas from where a stairway leads to the first floor. Here there is a “suite”: the door opens onto a small corridor with day bed to the left, two bedrooms on the right and a shared bathroom with shower at the end. The stair continues up to the 2nd floor where, to the right, the third bedroom and bath lie and, to the left the garden awaits. Yes, the garden is at the top of the cliff, on the 2nd floor. The house is meticulously maintained: no musty or mildew odors, no pests. It is a very quiet and private place, located on a little used residential road with an enormous garden area which leads to an orchard (and the parking area – it’s uphill), with partial views of the Loire and wonderful views of sunsets over the vineyards.
