Welcome to The Forge Loft! This 3 bedroom 2 bath 2nd floor apartment has a fully equipped kitchen, large patio with grill, and space for 6-8 guests. Recently renovated and refurnished to include new mattresses, coffee maker and supplies, internet access, and a 55" Fire TV. It is minutes from Kennywood and Sandcastle parks, 5 minutes to the Waterfront shopping district, a 15 minute ride to Acrisure Stadium, 10 minutes to PPG Arena, and across the street from a fantastic brew pub with live music. The Forge Loft would make for a fantastic Steelers getaway weekend, visiting family for the holidays, business trips, or guys/girls trip to see Pittsburgh.

This is a great place to launch a stay in Pittsburgh. We enjoyed the clean accommodations, coffee, tea, and fluffy towels and comfortable bedding. Our only issue was that the brew pub across the street was celebrating Oktoberfest with a loud outdoor party including music at high decibels. It was difficult for our 5 year old to get to sleep. I can’t imagine that the noise is like that every weekend. We hope to stay at The Forge Loft again.

Property was perfectly located for our needs. Very clean & looked even better than the pictures. A couple of minor issues: be aware that there are pretty steep steps to get to the apartment. It wasn’t a problem for me, but my elderly mother did struggle a bit. Also, the air conditioner is fairly loud - we were grateful for central air as the weather was very hot during our stay, but it is quite noticeable and we had to have the TV volume much higher as a result. Overall though, there was nothing that would prevent me from booking again, the property is lovely, the host is very responsive and the rooftop deck area was a plus!

We were in the area for the weekend to check out Kennywood Amusement Park. This was a great location for the 4 of us (all guys). Awesome German Brewery across the street, and a 10 minute drive to the park. Plenty of room inside to hang out, and the outdoor patio was awesome on a warm (though mildly wet) night.

The apartment was beautiful, nicely furnished and well stocked. The front windows allowed a lot of traffic noise into the two front bedrooms as well as a lot of cold air. If you are a light sleeper or not used to city noises, I would not recommend staying in either of these rooms. We got very little sleep.

This place provided a great place for family to come and visit us while we were in town. The area has some great restaurants within walking distance and shopping a short car ride away. When booking I knew there were stairs but had no idea how steep they would be to get into the apartment. I was worried my elderly parents wouldn’t be able to navigate but we made it without any issue. It was a cute place and had ample space for our whole family. It is in a busy street so be aware you will hear traffic In the front beerooms

Our stay at Forge Loft was great. It was clean, spacious and nicely decorated. It was easy to find and there was ample street parking. The kitchen had pots and pans to cook and dinnerware for when we ate “at home”. The beds were extremely comfortable, however I don’t believe they were queen sized. It wasn’t a problem for us but might be for someone else. There was quite a bit of street noise and also several trains overnight. We only had a sound machine for the kids room and the train whistle woke my husband a few times. (Only reason 4 and not 5 stars) There is a fun bar across the street and a Hispanic grocery store next door which had a ton of products that aren’t easy to get where we live so that was a bonus. Last thing I would recommend to bring bottled water. The tap water is not drinkable in my opinion. 100% would stay here again!

The location was perfect for our stay. We drove to WVU for the Mountaineers vs Wildcats football game and also attended the Jets vs Steelers game. Chris provides extra trash bags, paper towel, TP and more. We were close to bars, restaurants, grocery stores, general shopping, and only about 20 minute drive into the city. The check in & out instructions were clear. We felt comfortable and safe. I would stay here again.

We used this home to get ready for our wedding day with the girls then I stayed overnight with my husband. Chris was so kind and let us check in early and check out late since it was for our wedding. The house was clean and exactly as pictured. The steps to the apartment are not good if you don’t do well with stairs but didn’t cause us any issues. So many different rooms and areas in the house. Perfect for our needs. Super close to the waterfront for things to do. Homestead isn’t the safest area but we didn’t encounter any issues. Just good to be aware of for others from out of town. The only issue we had was with check in, we didn’t get the info. I honestly think he just forgot. He was very apologetic and fixed the problem right away and we didn’t have any other issues. Thanks so much for a great stay! Would definitely recommend this place!

Clean, spacious, super comfortable loft in central location to different activities- Kennywood, Carnegie Mellon, Pittsburgh museums, the Duquesne incline, restaurants and shopping centers- everything was only a short drive away. Beds were very comfortable, showers were great (clean, good water pressure), it felt like we had all the amenities of home. Chris was very responsive to any questions. Would definitely stay here again if we came back to the area.

Arrived at 3 AM. Street parking was plentiful. Opening the door was very easy. Walked in to a surprisingly beautiful home with a very chill and relaxing patio with BBQ. The size of the 3 bedrooms was suprising. The living room and kitchen was huge as well. Just an o real great place to be. Nice little Bar with music across the street and just a perfect location for restaurants and to venues. We didn’t want to leave.

The pictures don’t do the location justice. The loft is comfortable, spacious, clean, and instantly feels like home the moment you walk in. We only stayed two days but didn’t want to leave and my cousin and wife decided to book the same place for their upcoming getaways while we were there. There’s a JUMPING bar across the street if you’re into that thing, a Hispanic mini-mart right next to the location, and places to get groceries directly across the street. The owner is always available, friendly, and very understanding. Definitely booking again if we make it back up to Pittsburgh.

Traveled from Boston area to Pittsburgh for my great-nephew's graduation form CMU. The location was perfect for the daily back and forth from my nephew's apartment and the campus for various activities. The apartment is awesome! Much bigger/roomier than it appears in the pictures and who ever decorated it needs their own HGTV design show! Unfortunately we were so busy that we did not get a chance to check out the neighborhood but we saw lots of near by shopping and many restaurants, including the beer place across the street. It rained every day we were there so we did not get a chance to enjoy the nice patio out back either. There was a good amount of street noise in the bedrooms at the front of the house. We were worried it would keep us up at night as we live on a dead end street in a suburban neighborhood with mostly retired folks but we were so tired from all the running around plus the beds were so comfy, we had no problem falling asleep. Chris was super responsive with answering questions and providing check-in info. Overall great stay. So much better than the multiple hotel rooms we used during earlier trips to the area.

The property was very clean and neat. Everything was in working order. Towels and Linens provided was especially convenient. Location was nice located across the street from a dollar general incase you needed to grab any last minute items. The Pitt campus, shopping and restaurants all within 15 minute drive. Parking is on the street and was typically readily available. We would stay again.

Chris was a great host. He was very easy to reach and accommodating to our needs. The property is just like the pictures, it was clean and offered everything you might need for a long term stay. The location is great as well, a lot of stores and groceries that are within walking distance.
